• World Communion Sunday Procession - October 1, during 9:00 AM Worship Service: All kids are invited to help celebrate World Communion Sunday by joining in the opening processional. Be there by 8:45!

• Journey - Starts October 4, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM: Games, Dinner, Lessons, Music and FUN for kindergarten through 5th grade! Parents and siblings are invited to join the Journey kids at 6pm for dinner on October 4; it's pizza night!

• Trunk or Treat - October 29, 1:00-3:00 PM: Sign up HERE to host a trunk, volunteer, or donate candy.

• Kids Choir Performance - Sunday, November 26, 9:00 AM: Worship Service, practices during 1st half of Sunday school for 3 weeks prior.

• Advent Fair - December 3, after worship at 10:00 AM: Come learn about the traditions of Advent through hands on experiences as we prepare for Jesus’ birth.

• Christmas Pageant from Scratch - December 10, 5:30-7:30 PM: Share a delicious meal and participate in a no-prep, no pressure Christmas pageant.

Staffing and Ministry Updates

Thank you to everyone who responded to our parent/guardian survey and those who attended our vision sessions. We are grateful for your insight and suggestions. Now, the Children’s Ministry Team, the Personnel Team, and the Session will continue the work of discernment regarding our staffing needs for Children’s Ministry. Each of these groups has determined it is important for Pastor Steve to be a part of the hiring process, so any formal hiring decisions will be made once Pastor Steve returns from sabbatical in October. Until then, staff members and volunteers will be stepping into leadership roles within the Children’s Ministry programs. I invite you to pray about the ways God might be calling you to encourage and support our kids on their journey of faith and growth. Please reach out to me ([email protected]) with any questions.

There are so many ways you can support Children’s Ministry. Maybe it is making dessert for Journey. Maybe it is teaching Sunday School once a month. Maybe it is filling our busy bags for kids to use during worship. If everyone chooses to help in one small way, it will make a big impact!
