Children's Ministries Weekly News
We Are Acting Justly, Loving Kindness, and Walking Humbly!
Sunday was a busy day of activity stations in K-5th grade Sunday school! All the stations centered around our Micah scripture from last week - act justly, love kindness, and walk humbly with God.

Our Wheel of Good station featured a carnival wheel that corresponded to "assignments" for the kids to do this week. Kids were invited to donate to our Blanket Collection, donate cleaning and laundry supplies to Faith Community Homes, or do a chore at home without being asked, among other things! Our Take What You Need Station will be shared with the congregation in the coming weeks. Kids wrote encouraging phrases on ribbons that we then tied to a board. Once displayed, folks coming out of worship will be invited to take a ribbon and consider how that phrase might inspire them in the coming weeks. Finally, in our What Does it Mean To You station, kids shared on video what acting justly, loving kindness, and walking humbly means to them.
Preschool Sunday School
On Sunday, our 3 and 4 year old preschoolers learned about caring for God's creation - what it means to take care of what God has given us. Creation and all that is in it is a true gift from God and all of us can do our part to make sure we're taking care of it.

The preschoolers made Cheerios bird feeders to help our feathered friends with a little extra food during these final months of winter.

Our preschoolers are learning and growing in amazing ways every week!
Happy Valentine's Day Out!
We had a wonderful time at this year's Valentine's Day Out on Sunday afternoon. Thank you to Sue, Ridgely, Katie, and Allie for helping make the event a success!

The afternoon was chock full of Valentine's activities and crafts, including Valentine's Day Bingo and sugar cookies!

We hope to see you again next year!

Hand Chime Open House - Sunday, February 23
There was such excitement on Christmas Eve as many of our children eagerly came forward to ring hand chimes while the Children's Choir sang! It was truly a joyful noise!

All are invited to a Kids Hand Chime Open House on Sunday, February 23 right after Sunday school at 11:35 am. We will have hand chimes set up in the Mission Room (right next to the K/1st grade room) for kids to try. This is a no commitment exposure to this fun and engaging instrument. If any children are interested in taking their curiosity further, Children's Choir director Nick Pulikowski will be on hand to answer any questions and to show some hand chime tricks and techniques.
Sunday School Breakfast - Sunday, March 8
It has become a beloved tradition of our Sunday school program to host a breakfast to which children may invite a special guest.

This year, our Sunday School breakfast will be held on Sunday, March 8 during the Sunday school hour (10:30-11:30) in Fellowship Hall.

Children in kindergarten - 5th grade are encouraged to invite a "neighbor" to be their guest at the breakfast. A "neighbor" can be a special adult, a friend from school, a teacher, a grandparent... even a neighbor!

If your child isn't able to have a guest at the breakfast, that is ok - we will make sure they are included at a table with others.

Please RSVP here indicating the number of guests your child(ren) will have. You do not need to name the guests - just the number so we can prepare appropriately. Please limit the number of guests per child 2.
