WHAT ABC PROVIDES

• One (1) 20'x20' booth space
• Bowls, spoons and napkins
• One (1) 2-oz ladle
• Thermometer
• Name badges for your registered attendees- these will be placed at your booth. These must be worn at all times for security purposes. 
• Electricity presented by Equipment Share

WHAT TO BRING

• Enough chili and beverages for around 1200 attendees
• Crock pots or turkey fryer with propane tank to cook chili and keep it warm (we recommend at least 8 gallons of chili)
• Chili Fixings (cheese, onion, sour cream, jalapenos, etc.)
• BRING YOUR OWN TABLE! One (1) 8ft table or more if desired 
• Chairs
• Tablecloths
• Decorations, signs, props, etc.
• Don't forget extension cords!

Please do not bring:

• Oversized vehicles
• Animals
• Children
• Dunk tanks
• Fire/open flames

RULES & NOTES

Unloading

Our arena has a dirt floor. You may drive into the arena to unload your booth. Please drive slowly. If you have space, you may leave one vehicle inside your booth; all other vehicles must be parked in the lot by 3:30 PM to keep the air free from dust. We recommend unloading your vehicle and immediately parking in the lot. Parking attendants will direct competitors where to park.

What to Wear

If you will be building your booth, we recommend wearing outdoor apparel (jeans and boots) before changing into your costumes. There are bathrooms outside the arena that you can use to change in. 

Name badges must be worn at all times for security purposes. 

Cafe/Concessions

NEW this year we will have the Wills Park Equestrian Center Cafe opened from 10 AM - 4PM to serve our members throughout the day, both breakfast and lunch. This is not your typical ballpark concession. The menu consists of smoothies, salads, Philadelphia cheesesteaks made (made from a local), lattes, french fries...something for everyone.

Parking

Each booth can park one car within its booth space. All other vehicles must be parked in the parking lot. Certain areas will be restricted to vehicles. Parking attendants will direct competitors where to park. As an Equestrian Park Center, not all parking lots will be paved, some are dirt, gravel, or grass lots.

Consider another safe and convenient options such as Uber or Lyft.

Your Chili

Please make a batch of 8 gallons of chili. We are planning for around 1200 attendees. We recommend preparing your chili prior to the event.

Your chili must reach at least 140 degrees by 3:30 PM when the ABC staff starts taking temperatures. This will ensure that your chili is fully cooked and safe to eat.

Voting 

There will be a Winner and Runner Up in 3 categories. All attendees, including competitors, will receive 3 DIFFERENT, colored tickets:

• Best Chili
• Best Theme
• Best Build

Each competitor will be provided a black voting box. To cast your vote, place a ticket in the company's ballot box. Boxes will be collected and tickets tallied by Smith Adcock and Company (Certified Public Accountants). 

The 1st Place for Best Chili earns the Chili Cup and receives FREE entry into the Atlanta Chili Cook-Off this November. 

Raffles 

Let ABC staff know if you have a raffle item you wish us to raffle off during the closing announcements! 

Tear Down

All equipment and props MUST be removed from the property by 9:00 PM. Vehicles will be allowed back into the arena after 8:15 PM for tear down. For everyone's safety, please drive slowly.

Please leave no trace - take all construction debris and trash with you. Check for any nails and screws that could harm the horses and remove from arena dirt floor.

Pedestrians SHOULD EXIT THROUGH THE BACK GATE.
