Health Update and Care Info for Pastor Robin and David

Good News!

David and I want to thank you for your prayers! We felt them and had great peace before, during and after surgery! Glory to God! They got the tumor and had clear margins. It wasn’t in lymph nodes. We feel relieved and optimistic that this challenge will soon be behind us.

With Thanksgiving for each of you!

Pastor Robin+

Pastor Robin’s breast cancer surgery took place yesterday, Thursday, Jan. 29th, at MD Anderson-Med Center. Her surgery took approximately one and a half hours. While her lumpectomy is noted as an out-patient surgery, it is well possible that she stayed overnight and returned home today, Friday.

The Daughters of the King Prayer Room at church is always open for your prayers for Pastor Robin and David or for any other of your prayers. Join the Daughters of the King 3 Marys of the Cross chapter at St. Timothy’s as we pray Pastor Robin’s surgery went smoothly and that all the cancer was captured and eradicated. Pray that Pastor Robin's lungs remain strong through her recovery and no complications such as pneumonia or infection arise.

Calls and texts for Pastor Robin & David are welcome beginning Saturday, January 31st.

  • Pastor Robin’s mobile: (832) 922-7022
  • If you would like to send a card or need their address, it is: 610 Wood Duck Ct. Clute, TX 77531.

Beginning Saturday, the 31st please call/text the Kautzes if you would like to provide food. Food in 2-people’s portions is needed. They love homemade food but leftovers are problematic due to refrigerator issues at home right now. Gift cards from Door Dash or from their favorite restaurants may be easiest for now. If you would like to drop off gift cards to the church office, we’ll make sure they are delivered to Pastor Robin and David.

Use the following as suggestions. A friendly reminder: to stay away from garlic, bell peppers and shrimp for homemade meals.

Homemade:

  • Spaghetti with meat/meatballs (without garlic)
  • Soup that are broth based or are “brothy”
  • Breakfast breads
  • Cookies (especially chocolate chip cookies!) and other treats
  • Low in Sugar items for David

Favorite To-Go Foods:

  • La Madeleine French Café: French Dip Beef Sandwich (Robin and David split the sandwich); Turkey sandwich is also a fav of Robin’s
  • Firehouse Subs: Hook & Ladder on white with mayonnaise for David, Turkey and Provolone for Pastor Robin.
  • Bella Roma: Chicken Parmesan with rolls

Contact Kim Lehnhoff with questions or simply text Pastor Robin.

Continue to pray for Pastor Robin’s wellness journey..

God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to your servant, Robin, the help of your power, that her cancer may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Please Support our Hungry Neighbors

As we start a new year, please remember our neighbors who live with food insecurity. As you do your grocery shopping, I’d like to encourage you to pick up a little extra for The Food Basket. So, what do they need? The following items are given out every week, and your donations keep this important ministry going.

  • Canned soups, (any flavor or type)
  • Canned meats such as tuna, chicken, salmon, SPAM, etc.
  • Dry pasta such as spaghetti, rotini, egg noodles. Ramen, Mac & Cheese and elbow macaroni are NOT NEEDED.
  • Canned vegetables. Green beans and corn are NOT NEEDED.
  • Canned fruit.
  • Canned beans such as baked beans, navy beans, black beans, etc. Canned pinto beans are NOT NEEDED.
  • Breakfast items such as cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars.

You may be wondering about the items listed as “NOT NEEDED”. These are not needed for now because the Food Basket was recently able to purchase them in bulk. They may be needed in the future. If you donate one of these items, they will be distributed along with the ones that are in the warehouse.

Tabitha's Guild (Sewing)

Saturday, 2-4PM

Tabitha's sewing group is open this Saturday from 2-4PM. Sewing is open to everyone who wants to come. This is not a sewing class per se, but a chance to get together and use our sewing equipment. Some options...

  • Learn the basics of sewing machine operation. If you bring your own machine, and we'll help you figure out how to thread it, wind a bobbin, etc.
  • Hem or alter your clothes.
  • Just bring your own projects and hang out.

Use of the sewing machines and other equipment is free, as is use of most of our fabric. If you need a lot of fabric, or specific fabrics or threads, you need to supply them.

I made an apron from a men's shirt, and I'd be happy to teach you. BYO men's shirt. This week, I'm going to try making a floor mop-up turtle.

The next sewing class for our friends at the Food Basket will be February 19, from 10am-noon.

Altar Flowers

In 2026, our set of 2 Altar floral arrangements will be present at regular St. Timothy’s Sunday services only on the occasions when parishioners provide flowers for special thanksgivings or remembrances. Floral arrangements may be given in memory, thanksgiving or celebration of whomever and/or for whatever the person/family donating flowers chooses for that selected Sunday. A pamphlet by the Flower Chart in the Narthex outlining this process is available. Please do note on our wall-mounted flower chart the Sunday(s) you wish to provide flowers and sign on that date. We have 2 local floral shops—Carriage Flowers and LJ Flower Co.—we use. By the Monday or Tuesday of the week before your selected Sunday contact your choice of shop to arrange for and pay the flower shop directly for your 2 arrangements order. You will no longer provide a check to St. Timothy’s for flowers. Kim Lehnhoff will coordinate flowers and is available to help with any step in the process of arranging for your flowers. Contact Kim at (979) 299-9777 or email kim60lehn@gmail.com with questions or for help.
