Chillderburg Vier Another Great Year!

Hi Chillderburgers!

Chillderburg Vier was another great year! It was so much fun seeing everyone again and meeting all the new faces! For all of you that attended this year, thank you for coming out and making it a great weekend. If you were not able to make it, I hope to see you at Chillderburg Go.

In total, Chillderburg Vier had a little more than 250 people over the weekend! I am pretty sure that is more than last year. It is a bit of a challenge putting together an event that has grown so much but it is extremely rewarding getting to see all the liberty folk hanging out in real life.

I was also stoked to see people bring out so many of their friends and kids. The Chillderburg community is really shaping up into something that will last!

The hard part for me - Begging for Bucks

As many of you know, I pay for Chillderburg out of pocket and hope that we will make up the difference and raise some money for FreeRoss.org at the event. After crunching the numbers and adding everything up, we are far from even. I need your help making up the difference. Once we are even for the year, I can stop worrying about the funding Vier and concentrate on Chillderburg Go!

With the 250 people attending this year, if everyone pitched in $10 or $15 extra we would more than cover our remaining expenses and get on the fast track to Chillderburg Go!

I am a big fan of value for value so if you had a good time and want to help Chillderburg continue for years to come, head over to Chillderburg.com and donate a few of them "smakers".

Another Raffle!

We have one last contest to help us break even. No System has been generous enough to to donate a $200 gift card to their online store!

No System is a liberty-minded streetwear brand based not far from Chillderburg in Austin. Check out their store and pick up a raffle ticket at Chillderburg.com. They have a lot of cool liberty swag that I am sure you all will enjoy! We will draw the winner in July!

It will be a great help to break even this year and get a head start on next year. I think we are going to try to change things up for Chillderburg Go so it can be mostly prefunded. I am always open to suggestions if any of you great people have ideas!

The Good News

Even though we came up short for operating costs this year, Chillderburg has two reoccurring features that go to FreeRoss.org.

The traditional Fruitcake weight guessing game and 50/50 raffle was a hit as always. Rollo made much pomp and circumstance while announcing the winner to the enjoyment of all. This Chillderburg One tradition raised $150 for Free Ross!

Big thanks to Mark(winner) for keeping the tradition alive and donating his portion of the 50/50 to Free Ross and sharing a truly massive and delicious fruitcake with the rest of us!

The other great event at Chillderburg is the Agora Brewing mead tasting. Agora Brewing has really improved his already great product over the last few years and the tasting is something we look forward to every year. Agora Brewing was able to raise $600 for Free Ross!

I am so happy that with Agora Brewing and Rollo's contributions, we were able to get $750 for Free Ross. As always, the Tasting Anarchy crew matches Rollo up to $100 bringing our total to $850 this year! Not to shabby.
