Hello Old Donation!
I’m having trouble believing it’s already Wednesday—we’re just powering through this week! Bob is on vacation for two weeks, so this Sunday I will be preaching at 8:00, 10:00 in the Historic Church, and 5:00. Fred will be in the Gathering! At about 11:15, Middle and High school youth will meet in Alfriend House, and Kipper will continue teaching Episcopal 101 in the Salisbury room.
Also this Sunday, the Historic Traditions Commission is commemorating the first service of Lynnhaven Parish, held in Sarah and Adam Thoroughgood’s home on Sunday, May 17, 1637. We will meet at 633 Spring House Trail where there is a memorial plaque for the original church building. Our brief service of prayer and remembrance will begin at 3:00pm.
That’s all for this week! Stay warm and dry, and I’ll see you on Sunday.
Ashley

Pentecost & Languages
Pentecost is right around the corner, and this means we read the Gospel aloud simultaneously in many different languages. Please note: simultaneously! If you are able to read another language aloud, please email Gretchen with you language(s) so we can get organized. Before Pentecost (5 June) you will be emailed the Gospel in your language so you can look it over. " All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability." Acts 2:4
