Hello Old Donation!

This is my final week at Old Donation before we move up to Petersburg, VA and I become Rector at Christ and Grace. I want to thank each and every one of you for all of your love and support of me and my family in the last 2+ years. You all are a joyful and energetic community, and I will miss you as we follow God’s call. Thank you for such a lovely send off at coffee hour last Sunday. I will be at all services this Sunday, and will preach one last sermon at the 5 o’clock service. 

Tomorrow, I’m leading Eucharist at 10am and my final Bible Study at 11am. Father Fred will begin leading Bible Study next week. 

This Saturday and Sunday, we have the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers from the Presiding Bishop’s staff coming to Old Donation! She will be the keynote speaker at Gathering on Sacred Ground, a racial healing workshop held here from 9am-4pm on Saturday. You can still RSVP today! Lunch is provided.

Stephanie+ Spellers will also join us here at Old Donation this Sunday. She will preach at 8am and our combined 10:30am service in the Great Hall. At 9:30am, she will lead adult formation in Tucker Hall. You will not want to miss her! She is a phenomenal speaker and preacher.

USHERS NEEDED

Every week we need ushers for the 8:00am and both 10:30am worship services. Ushers play an integral part to our worship, help greet newcomers, and "direct traffic" for communion. We need YOU to be involved with this. It's simple to sign up, and we have on-the-job training! We always have a clickable button in Chimes and Sunday Scoop so you can participate.
