Good Shepherd Sunday

Weekly Chimes

SHEEP! It is Good Shepherd Sunday! One of my favorites when a live lamb visits the Gathering. WHY did sheep get to be mentioned over 500 times in the Bible? And are we really supposed to be like SHEEP? It's a wonderful day for our children (or grandchildren, or neighbor's children) to come and pet our guest "Ginger" and learn about Jesus the GOOD Shepherd. We will read the 23rd Psalm, and sing some melodic hymns.
It is also Day School Sunday. We invite our School families to join us for worship, knowing it is an interesting Sunday due to the live lamb. There is always a special offering taken up for the scholarship fund, which provides for families who otherwise would find our excellent school impossible to attend. So join us and be generous!
Ashley and I will be co-leading discussion in Tucker Hall about hard to understand Scripture passages. This week we will focus on sayings of Jesus. It's been good to take on some of the most challenging, so come and let's talk!
I'm preaching in the Gathering and 5:00. Ashley is at 8:00 and 10:30 in the Church.
See you Sunday.

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.
At the 10:30am services on Pentecost (9 June) we read the Gospel simultaneously in many languages.
Are you able to read another language aloud? If so, please email the office with your language of choice so we can get you the proper translation!
