What's Happening

June 15 - 3:30 p.m. Trio St. Bernand Chamber Music Concert.   2018 First prize winners at the Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival.  Held at The Island Theatre, 4077 Main Street.  Reception to follow at the Island Theatre Annex.  Co-sponsored by the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance and CiAO.  Tickets $15/adults or free for youths (18 and under) and for students with ID.  Tickets can be purchased at H & H Pharmacy and Sundial Books (cash or check) or online  CLICK HERE .

June 8 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Story Time.   Listen to a story and make a craft that will explore different science themes. Ages 3 to 6.
June 82:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Animals in Space.   Before humans went into space, we launched animals into space.  Join us for a short program to learn about one of the animals that have traveled in space.  Ages 8 and up
June 15 - 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Investigation Station During.  Investigate a STEM related topic through labs, demonstrations and activities. Ages 8 and up. 
June 15 - 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Tour of the Solar System.   Take a tour through our solar system with stops at the sun, the planets, dwarf planets and moons.minutes. Ages 8 and up.
 
2019 Youth Art Contest open to Pre-K through 12th grade students.  
NASA Wallops Visitor Center and the Virginia Space Flight Academy partner on this nationwide Youth Art Contest.  "Apollo's 50th Anniversary"  is the theme. 
June 15 Artwork Submission Deadline.  Drop off artwork at NASA WFF Visitor Center.  
Email or mail all forms and artwork to Shirley.J. Lapole@nasa.gov.  
Grand Prize: Full scholarship to one of the Virginia Space Flight Academy's Space Camps.
