Oct 18 & 19 Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company Fall Round-Up Both the Northern and Southern herds will be rounded up for veterinarian checks.   

Oct 18 - 5:00 p.m. Cash BINGO.  Sponsored by the CHS After Prom.  Held at the Chincotegue High School,  4586 Main St.  Admission $5, Bingo cards $1 each.  Concessions, door prizes, and $500 Blackout Bingo.  

Oct 20 - 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Reptile Awareness Day. Delmarva Discovery Museum, 2 Market Street, Pocomoke, MD. Free event. Call for more information 410-957-9973 or 

Oct 24 - 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Public Information Meeting: Eastern Shore Sanitary Sewer Project.   Accomack and Northampton Counties to Host Overview for Eastern Shore County and Town Municipal Governments regarding the Public Policy Approval Process for the  Eastern Shore Sanitary Sewer Transmission Force Main Project.   Held at the Great Hall of the Workforce Development Center,  Eastern Shore Community College,  29300 Lankford Highway,  Melfa, VA  23410.   The public is encouraged to attend this meeting to learn more about this important project that will serve as a catalyst for environmental sustainability and economic development.

Antares Rocket Launch
The launch of  Northrop Grumman Corporation's Antares rocket and Cygnus cargo spacecraft is scheduled for no earlier than Nov. 2 from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility.
The mission will be Northrop Grumman's 12th commercial resupply services mission to deliver NASA science investigations, supplies, and equipment to the International Space Station.

11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - STEM Lab .   Dive into Science, Technology, Engineering and Math with a hands-on activity.  Check our website for the theme of each STEM Lab.  Ages 6 & up. 
2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - Rocketry: Model Rocket Launch.  Learn about the Sounding Rocket Program operated at the Wallops Flight Facility, followed by a model rocket launch.  Weather permitting.  Ages 6 & up.

11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Story Time.  Listen to a story and make a craft that will explore different science themes.  Ages 3 to 6. 
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Exploration Station.  Drop in to participate in hands-on activities that explore a different science topic.  Ages 5 and up.
