Oct 6  - 12:00 p.m.  1st Annual Chincoteague Women Supporting Women High Heel Race . Hosted by the Chincoteague Island KOA & Maui Jack's, 6742 Maddox Blvd. Festivities and games kick off at noon and races begin at 1:00 p.m. sharp.  Help raise awareness for those that have overcome and those who are still fighting their fight with breast cancer. Preregistration $20.  Day of registration $25.   Registration forms available at the KOA office or register online at  https://www.firstgiving.com/event/womensupportingwomen/high-heel-race-1

Oct 12 4:30 p.m Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company Southern Herd Fall Round-up. The cowboys will round up the southern end of the pony herd and corral them into the south pen on the road going out to the beach on Assateague.

Oct 13 - 8:00 a.m. Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company Northern Herd Fall Round-up. The cowboys head up the service road to round up the northern end of the pony herd and corral them into the north pen. The northern end round up takes about 5-6 hours to complete. Parking is available at the Wildlife Loop parking lot.

Hosted by The  Chincoteague Island KOA. 6 742 Maddox Blvd, 757-336-3111
Wine, beer and cider vendors, food trucks and live music by TIKI BAR BAND.  Activities, crafts and moon bounce for the kids.  Tickets can be purchased online for $30 or at the gate on the day for $40. Oct 13 - 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Story Time: Listen to a story and make a craft that will explore different science themes. Geared toward ages 3 to 6.
Oct 13 - 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Tour of the Solar System.  Tour through our solar system with stops at the sun, the planets, dwarf planets, and moons. Geared toward ages 8 & up.
Oct 19 - 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. International Observe the Moon Night. Enjoy a moon presentation, telescope viewing, moon themed movies, and crafts/activities.
