Event Report: Running AI & Cybersecurity

The Chinese Chamber hosted a seminar on September 16 at the Chamber office, featuring Jackson Tsao of Lenovo. Tao shared insights on the advantages of on-premises AI over cloud-based AI, with a focus on data privacy, security, and data sovereignty. More than 40 members and guests participated in person and via Zoom.

A highlight of the seminar was a demonstration of Lenovo’s “Built Brain” concept, developed for the City of San Gabriel. The system enables secure, local analysis and forecasting using an organization’s own data without exposing sensitive information to the public cloud.

The presentation offered Chamber members a valuable look at how organizations can leverage AI while maintaining greater control over their data and protecting sensitive information.
