General Membership Meeting Brings Members Together

The Chinese Chamber held its General Membership Meeting on September 30, bringing together more than 50 attendees, including Chamber officers, past presidents, members, committee chairs, and special guests, including Honolulu Police Chief David Lazar.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for members to reconnect, learn about the Chamber’s ongoing activities, and hear updates on upcoming programs and initiatives. Committee chairs presented reports on their respective activities and shared plans for upcoming events and projects. The Chamber also welcomed and introduced several new members, providing an opportunity for them to meet fellow members and become more engaged with the Chamber.

A special highlight of the meeting was the presentation of educational scholarships and grant to four recipients. The funding was made possible through proceeds generated from last year’s Chinatown Community Foundation Annual Golf Tournament, demonstrating the Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting education and investing in the next generation.

The success of the Meeting would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of Membership Vice President Rena Hwang and the Membership Committee. The Chamber extends special appreciation to Assistant Treasurer Yevette Tu for securing the venue and to Kendrick Chang for serving as emcee and helping make the program a smooth and engaging event.
