Event Report: Visit of Guangdong Province Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Delegation

On Friday, October 10, 2025, the Chinese Chamber had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Guangdong Province Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese at the Chamber office. The delegation was led by Mr. Zhuang Youlin, Inspector General, and included Ms. Zhu Shunyou, Level 3 Counsellor, and Ms. Huang Baohui, Level 4 Counsellor.


Chamber President Gabe Lee warmly welcomed the delegation, joined by past presidents Vernon Ching, Jeff Lau, and Russell Lau, as well as President-Elect Angie Shiroma, Vice President Rena Hwang and Board Director Peggy Luu, Tina Au.


During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening ties between Hawaii’s Chinese community and Guangdong, highlighting shared cultural heritage and opportunities for future collaboration in trade, education, and cultural exchange.


The visit reinforced the long-standing friendship between the Chamber and the Guangdong Federation, underscoring the importance of promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between overseas Chinese communities and their home provinces.

Community Seminar: Honolulu Rail Transit Project Update

The Chinese Chamber invites members and the community to a special seminar featuring Lori M.K. Kahikina, P.E., Executive Director and CEO of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART).


Join us to hear the latest updates on the Chinatown Station and Guideway construction and learn more about how the Honolulu Rail Transit Project will impact our community and local businesses.
