Chinatown Arch Groundbreaking Ceremony Marks Important Milestone

Community leaders and supporters organized by the Chinese Chamber Past President Eddie Flores gathered on Saturday, February 28, at Kekaulike Mall to celebrate the Chinatown Arch Groundbreaking Ceremony, marking an important milestone for the Chinatown beautification initiative.

The ceremony brought together the Mayor of Honolulu, community leaders, and supporters to commemorate the beginning of the project. The Chinatown Arch is envisioned as a symbolic gateway that will highlight the neighborhood’s rich cultural heritage and strengthen Chinatown’s identity as a historic and vibrant cultural district.

The groundbreaking ceremony represents the first step toward bringing this long-anticipated landmark to life, and the Chamber looks forward to celebrating its completion with the community in the future.
