Chipping Away
St. John Lutheran in Athens has been around since the early 1980’s. As with all churches and our lives, things change. We get older. We make mistakes. We do our best to mend what we can, but sometimes things just flat fall apart. Our facility is a living example of that. Pastor Seth Davidson continues with this wonderful message:

"We are in the middle of another building project. By the grace of God and the help of Texas CEF, we have an opportunity for a desperately needed remodel. Over the process of the last two and half years the Lord has led us to conversations, meetings, and strategic planning. On the Third Sunday in Advent, The Family of Faith Lutheran Church was blessed to have the preschool student populations from its two ministry locations (Houston and Cypress) unite their talents in a single Christmas worship service.
