San Antonio's Bexar County Medical Society is Texas' oldest physician's association. Originally founded in 1853 and now relocating to the city's far north side, the new Bexar County Medical Society building (Architect:
Chesney-Morales, General Contractor:
RC Page) evokes its long history with a Spanish colonial style. Imitating the stained wooden pergola's of this architectural style, BCMS's new building features exterior sun control shades fabricated from bronze anodized aluminum. Chism Company fabricated the exterior shades for the east and west facing windows. Installation at heights was performed by
Winco of South Texas.
