Easy
Evidence that fancy doesn’t have to mean fussy, this 4-ingredient dessert is not only beautiful but a cinch to make. Here, a crispy chocolate Pizzelle, an Italian waffle cookie, acts as a “crust” for this single-serving fruit tart. Although this recipe would be ideal for dressing up a leftover home-baked pizzella, we used a store-bought variety to keep it simple. In a pinch, you could use a chocolate wafer cookie of a similar size instead. Fresh strawberry slices, raspberries, or cherries can be swapped out for the citrus slices. The easiest way to shave chocolate is to use a vegetable peeler to scrape along the side of a chocolate bar to create thin strips or curls.
Ingredients
  • 1 chocolate pizzelle (3-4")
  • 2 tbsp lite whipped topping
  • ½ medium orange, and/or grapefruit, cut into 4 slices (without peel)
  • ½ tbsp semisweet chocolate, shavings
Instructions
  1. Top cookie with whipped topping; layer with fruit and sprinkle with chocolate.
  2. Makes 1 serving: Chocolate Pizzelle Fruit Tart! Enjoy!
