Neighbors Table Update

Last week 137 meals were served drive through and 34 delivered to families in the community and parish. In addition, a number of families were served from our saved frozen meals. We had expected to serve 150 meals, but in a real life experience of the loaves and fishes were able to serve more than 170. In our Loaves and Fishes ministry we offered fresh eggs thanks to our Blue and You grant for healthy fruits, veggies and proteins. We are grateful to everyone who helps us keep in compliance with our State Laws for our Certified Kitchen. Thank you!

This week our menu is a cheesy chicken casserole, fruit salad, and cookies for dessert. Each meal will also have a piece of fresh fruit and a granola bar. We will prepare 165 meals, using food from the Arkansas Foodbank. From our Blue and You grant we will offer fresh milk and eggs; this is the final week for that grant. Having discovered how important the meat, milk, eggs and fruit are to our guests, we are planning to continue including these in our Loaves and Fishes ministry with some special financial support being offered. More details will be forthcoming as plans are worked out.

Please keep Neighbors Table in your prayers. We greatly appreciate the many helpers who pray for us and contribute their time, talent, and treasure! If you would like to know more, or volunteer, please contact Charlie Tyrone, (479) 857-0480, ctyrone_49@hotmail.com.

Cereal, Dish Soap, Toilet Paper, Shampoo, Toothbrushes ; Toothpaste for Loaves and Fishes

Loaves and Fishes, a part of the Neighbors Table ministry, asks for donations of cereal, dish soap, toilet paper and shampoo to provide to our guests. Also needed are soft and medium toothbrushes and toothpaste. Children’s toothbrushes are welcome donations. Please place your gifts in the Loaves and Fishes Wagon in the nave.

As a reminder, you can support Neighbors Table with a donation to Food Ministries in the Giving tab at the All Saints’ webpage.

NT is also asking for reusable bags to help distribute our Loaves and Fishes

items on Saturday. If you have any extras, please bring to church.

Practicing Prayer

This week we will begin with 20 minutes of silent prayer, and then continue with Lectio

Divina with a poem by Chelan Hawkin, “The Worst Thing.”

All are welcome! To receive a copy of this poem, and to receive a Zoom invitation, please

email Catherine Crews, catherine.crews@icloud.com, with your contact information.

We pray for those who have birthdays this week: Brenda Stanley and Dodie

Lamb-Roberts.

O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on

your servants as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow

in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness

all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For those celebrating an anniversary this week:

O gracious and everliving God, look mercifully upon your servants who come to renew the promises they have made to each other. Grant them your blessing, and assist them with your grace, that with true fidelity and steadfast love they may honor and keep their promises and vows; through Jesus Christ our Savior, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Please let the office know if your birthday or anniversary has been missed, so that we may add the date to our records.
