Cholla District Traffic Alert
September 14, 2021
Dear Cholla Residents,

Beginning on Monday, September 20 there will be significant traffic delays on 67th Avenue north of Loop 101 due to the construction of a manway hole near Quail Avenue. I would recommend avoiding the area if possible during your daily commute. I do realize this will be a major inconvenience for those of us that use 67th Avenue on a regular basis, as I too use it to get to and from work.

I have made a special request to city staff to expedite this project in attempt to minimize traffic delays. The project is necessary as the manway hole will give engineers access to an important water pipe that originates at the Pyramid Peak Water Treatment Plant, which needs routine testing to continue to keep our water safe and monitor the infrastructure delivering it.

See the traffic alert and map below for details on traffic restrictions and closures.

My office is open and ready to assist you. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I value your input and opinion.

Best Regards,

Lauren Tolmachoff
