LOOP 101 WIDENING PROJECT UPDATE FROM ADOT



Over the past few weeks I have been working with city staff to arrange a public meeting in order to provide an update on the Loop 101/I-17 to 75th Ave project.

That meeting will be held on Wednesday April 30 from 6-7pm.

ADOT and city staff will be on hand to answer your questions.

The project Is needed as west valley growth continues, however it comes with some inconvenience. The construction has an impact on our community and I want to make sure that you are informed.

Hope you will be able to attend. No need to RSVP.

Make plans to attend the Downtown Glendale Family Fun Festival April 26!

Live Entertainment as well as Food Trucks, Art & Craft Vendors and a Car Exhibition.

The next Downtown Historic Glendale Family Fun Festival is Saturday April 26 from 12-6pm in Catlin Court at 5800 W Palmaire Avenue.

Loop 101 widening project from 75th Avenue to I-17

ONGOING RESTRICTIONS

Lane restrictions are ongoing at the following locations for bridge work and frontage road improvements.

At the 51st and 35th avenue interchanges:

• All on- and off-ramps will be narrowed to one lane
• The left-turn lane for both east- and westbound on-ramps will be narrowed to one lane
• 51st and 35th avenues will be narrowed to one lane under Loop 101 

at the 31st Avenue interchange:

• The 31st Avenue shoulders will be closed under Loop 101. Pedestrian access is still available.

Glendale Pavement Management Activity

• Streets between Deer Valley Road and Pinnacle Peak Road and west of 67^th Avenue (excluding Hillcrest Boulevard, 71^st Avenue and Patrick Lane) – Slurry Seal application is currently taking place.
• Deer Valley Road, between 67^th Avenue and 75^th Avenue – Slurry Seal application to begin May 1.
• Union Hills Drive, between 59^th Avenue and 67^th Avenue – Slurry Seal application is currently taking place.
