Dear Cholla Residents,

On Friday October 13, I had the pleasure of attending a basketball game where our Glendale Police Officers (team name Heroes) went head-to-head with Mountain Ridge High School Staff (team name Villains). The basketball game was a really fun way to raise money and awareness for Arizona Special Olympics.

The SUNS gorilla was in attendance adding antics to this fun event by matching the energetic atmosphere of both teams and entertaining the crowd.

Our Glendale PD Heroes edged out the MRHS Villains with a one point win! I was honored to present our Heroes with the the Champion's trophy. Hopefully, this fun event that supports Arizona Special Olympics becomes an annual tradition.

My office is open and ready to assist you. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I value your input and opinion.

Best Regards,

Lauren Tolmachoff
