Letter From the Director

August is Always a Blur!

Let’s be honest: August is chaos. The return to school routines, onboarding new students, troubleshooting tech issues, and all the “just one more thing” tasks. We experience that too and firmly believe we all get through it together, with more coffee and a friendly disposition. It’s no wonder this August newsletter is coming to you in mid-September!

But in the middle of the whirlwind, I want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you to our returning programs for diving back in with energy and purpose, and welcome to the many new programs joining Choose Aerospace for the first time this year. You are part of a growing community that’s transforming what’s possible for students across the country as they prepare for their future careers.

This month’s newsletter is packed with updates, reminders, and opportunities to help you start strong:

  • We’ll share how your students can participate in industry competitions, a powerful way to connect classroom learning to real-world careers.
  • A quick tech tip on how clearing cookies can solve a surprising number of login issues.
  • We’ll reveal early-year stats showing just how much our impact is growing.
  • And we’re excited to be speaking at ACTE VISION this December—come find us there!

As always, thank you for the work you’re doing to open aviation maintenance career doors for students. If there’s anything you need to get this school year off to a smooth start, we’re just an email away.

Director of Operations

Call To Action

Looking for Fellow Teachers? Join the CA Teachers' Lounge!

Teaching the Choose Aerospace curriculum can sometimes feel like a solo mission — especially if you're the only aviation maintenance instructor in your school or district. That’s why we created the CA Teachers’ Lounge on Facebook: a virtual space where instructors across the country can connect, share tips, ask questions, and build community.

Just like a real teachers' lounge, it's informal, supportive, and full of people who understand your day-to-day challenges. Whether you're sharing something that made you laugh, brainstorming ways to get students excited about torque wrenches, or just need a little encouragement — there’s a seat for you here. Join us today and help shape the national conversation around aviation maintenance education. Tool Tip: When in Doubt, Clear Those Cookies!

If your LMS isn’t loading correctly or seems to be acting a little… off — the very first thing to try is clearing your browser cookies. Quite often, this simple step will fix the issue and get everything back to normal. It’s also the first thing the support team at SkilRedi will ask you to do, so it’s worth trying before you submit a help request.

If clearing cookies doesn’t do the trick, go ahead and email support@skilredi.com with a detailed description of the issue. Be sure to include:

  • The page URL
  • Any screenshots that would be helpful
  • A clear explanation of what’s going wrong

They’ll help you troubleshoot from there — but try those cookies first!
