Nashua Community College professor named Tech Educator of the Year
Kim Eckenrode, a long-time instructor and current Career and Technical Education Pathways Director at NCC, has been named the 2020 Tech Educator of the Year by the NH Tech Alliance. Kim has been supporting women and girls in STEM for years. And just last fall, Kim launched the Front and Back End Coding Boot Camps with NCC partner Promineo Tech, which has been a great fit for many students including women balancing work and life responsibilities exacerbated by the pandemic.
White Mountains Community College chosen as semifinalist for $1M Aspen Prize
White Mountains Community College, with a campus in Berlin and academic centers in Littleton and North Conway, has been chosen as one of 150 semifinalists for the 2023 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. WMCC is only one of two community colleges in New England selected and is eligible for the $1 million prize and prestigious recognition based on performance in student outcomes.
Building valuable partnerships for NH’s future workforce
NH community colleges continue to build valuable partnerships with local organizations to address current and future workforce needs and engage young people in local educational pathways. Examples include the NHTI orthopedic technology program and Nashua Community College's electric vehicle program. Both programs demonstrate the value of imparting real-world skills to high school students who have already shown they have specific career interests.
Hands-on medical experience

Twenty-four high school students from the Concord Region Technical Center are gaining work experience in the field of orthopedic technology through a unique Orthopedic Technology Career Pathways program with NHTI-Concord's Community College.
Automotive programs

It is increasingly clear that electric vehicle technology is an important part of our nation's transportation future. But who’s going to fix the vehicles when they break down? Nashua Community College and other colleges within CCSNH are answering this question.
New short-term manufacturing skills courses for entry-level and experienced workers
Nashua Community College has introduced new, short-term offerings in manufacturing skills used across an array of industries. Courses reflect in-demand skills and are designed to offer streamlined on-ramps to employment in some of NH’s leading sectors.
MCC gave Kendra Tisbert hands-on education to work with children
Kendra Tisbert was born in Okinawa, Japan and grew up all over the world, giving her the experience of many cultures and traditions.
