Digital literacy skills are essential to career advancement in the digital economy of the 21st century, and GBCC has responded to employer demand in the seacoast region by creating a slate of industry-focused courses. For those looking to make themselves marketable and attractive to employers, the short-term classes are convenient and timely. “We are helping people obtain the skills for economic mobility.”

New Hampshire Community Colleges step up to fight food insecurity
Nationally and in New Hampshire, community college students were hit hard by the pandemic in ways ranging from child care challenges to broadband to meeting their families’ basic needs. CCSNH’s colleges got creative to help students during these trying times.
Rochelle fast-tracks her education at White Mountains Community College
Rochelle Eastman believes in maximizing her education and has put herself on a path to earn most of the credits she needs for an associate degree at White Mountains Community College – while in high school. The Littleton High School senior has leveraged New Hampshire’s dual enrollment programs with WMCC and online VLACs program to fulfill her love of learning and accelerate her education.

Protolabs and Nashua Community College
Protolabs is a digital manufacturer engaged in industrial 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and injection molding services for product developers and engineers worldwide. After the company acquired its newest facility in Nashua and began expanding into sheet metal fabrication, Protolabs quickly realized it needed help finding qualified employees to support current and future growth, and turned to Nashua Community College.
