Kawasaki donates over $100,000 of equipment to MCC Powersports Program

Kawasaki recently donated over $100,000 worth of equipment to Manchester Community College, which recently launched a Powersports Technician Certificate Program. The generous donation included multiple motors, side x sides, motorcycles, and jet skis. This top-of-the-line equipment is a big asset to the program and will help prepare students for careers in this growing industry where there is a great demand in New Hampshire for qualified powersports technicians.

ApprenticeshipNH, Nashua Community College partner with BAE Systems to offer a Precision Inspector Apprenticeship

The new Precision Inspector Apprenticeship developed by BAE Systems kicks off on Monday, July 12. The program will include 4,000 hours of paid on-the-job training and five weeks of full-time classroom instruction facilitated through NCC. The program will also include IPC-A-610 training, an industry-recognized certification.

By now, you have likely heard that the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the Foundation for NH Community Colleges, is gifting all New Hampshire high school students graduating in 2021 a tuition-free, three-credit class at any of our community colleges this fall. This “Gift to the Class of 2021” is testimony to the perseverance and resiliency of our high schoolers and their families, and positive recognition of the gift of a community college education.

Upskill in 10 weeks with Microelectronics Boot Camp at NCC

With a 98 percent hiring rate for graduates, the Microelectronics Boot Camp at Nashua Community College has been a reliable on-ramp to a new career since its launch in 2016. The program has graduated more than 200 students, who range in age from 18 to 63 and include recent high school graduates, workers from across industries seeking a career change, and military veterans. Many come from assistance programs like WOIA and MY TURN, INC. While grads have always fared well with career opportunities, many local industry partners are actively recruiting new skilled talent.

Amid life's twists and turns, Kendra Kuba found her footing with a Dental Hygiene degree from NHTI – after taking a few years to choose her path. The Merrimack, NH native wanted a college experience that would lead to meaningful work, and she got that and more with the connections she made at NHTI to bring positive oral health practices to children across her community.
