Manchester Community College partners with GEAR UP program to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators
Manchester Community College has teamed up with GEAR UP and the Manchester School District to help rising 10th graders who may be at a crossroads as they approach the time to make decisions about what they want to do for a living. This special six-week program is designed to provide exposure to core STEM curriculum while highlighting the wide variety of job options students can explore.
WMCC creates new criminal justice program offerings to prepare graduates for law enforcement careers
White Mountains Community College, with a campus in Berlin and academic centers in Littleton and North Conway, has added a new entry-level certificate and new courses to the criminal justice program for the fall semester, which begins Aug. 30. These changes will align the curriculum with the current and projected needs of the industry by providing students with in-demand skills for careers in law enforcement positions at various local, state and federal levels.
Great Bay Community College nursing students awarded scholarships funded by area long-term care residents
Seven freshman nursing students from Great Bay Community College each recently received $2,000 scholarships, thanks to the continuing financial commitment of the residents at RiverWoods Exeter. Residents there established the scholarship to help attract high-achieving students to the aging-care field.
