James and his family heard about the population growth incentive and decided to Choose Southern Indiana as their new home. James, an Army Veteran, who was stationed at Ft. Campbell was exploring options in Tennessee when a family friend told him about the opportunity in Orange County specifically targeting military veterans to move to our community after discharge. James and his wife Keisha were both raised in Indiana and have family nearby , Making this the perfect place to land and call home.

We know that Orange County is a great place to live. We're sharing that message as we work alongside Radius Indiana to promote Choose Southern Indiana, a population growth incentive geared towards attracting people to live and work in our community.

In partnership with Radius Indiana we will be matching funds to provide a $5,000 incentive to qualified applicants for the relocation program.

Orange County Requirements:

• Military Veteran with honorable discharge
• Applicants must be younger than 45 years of age
• Verification of Veteran Status, age, and new Orange County address required
• Residency in Orange County must be maintained for a minimum of two years

Talent attraction and developing a workforce are very important roles in economic development. Recruiting individuals to relocate and move to our area will provide a variety of skills to build upon our already established workforce.
