A few weeks ago, I shared a simple phrase with you:
Hope is a small rebellion.
I’ve been sitting with those words ever since. They’ve stayed with me, not as an idea, but as something I see lived out, quietly and faithfully, every day.
Especially now, as we move toward the summer months here in Evergreen.
At EChO, the needs in our community don’t ease with the change in seasons. Families are still navigating rising costs, housing challenges, food insecurity, and difficult decisions. The stories don’t stop. The need for steady presence doesn’t either.
And so, neither do we.
This is the part of the year when things naturally become a bit quieter in terms of giving. But the work continues…steady, relational, often unseen.
Which is why this moment matters.
Because hope, if it is real, is not just something we talk about. It is something we practice.
It looks like showing up.
It looks like staying present.
It looks like making sure that when someone reaches out, they are met with dignity, care, and practical help.
That is the spirit behind what we’re stepping into now.
We’re launching our Rebels of Hope mid-year campaign, an invitation to simply continue in the work we are already doing together.
If this work has ever felt meaningful to you, I invite you to take a step with us.
A gift, in whatever amount is right for you, helps sustain this quiet, steady work in a season when it matters deeply.
