Peggy Dettwiler,

ACDA Eastern Region President
Dear ACDA Eastern Region Members,
All is set for the 2020 biennial Eastern Region Conference to begin in two weeks. Registration is going well and our hotels are almost filled to capacity! I would like to highlight the reading sessions, brilliantly organized by Joy Hirokawa, and the honor choirs, masterfully managed by Jared Berry!
There are six reading sessions spread over the three days, all beginning at 8 am in the Hyatt Grand EFG or Hyatt Regency ABC, both on the second floor of our main conference hotel. Each session will include diverse works in a variety of styles.
Thursday:    Med/Adv. SA/Women’s led by Lisa Graham
   TB/Men’s led by Frank Albinder
Friday:   Med/Adv. Mixed led by Felicia Barber
Easy/Med. Treble led by Judy DuBose
Saturday:  Easy/Med. Mixed led by Amy Story
Equity/Social Justice (various voicings) led by Brad Dumont
To get you started for the day, there will be “breakfast breaks” with coffee/tea and breakfast snacks in the Hyatt lobby outside the sessions beginning at 7:30 am. The table will be replenished until 8:30 am.
All four of our honor choirs are led by renowned conductors with beautiful programs representing works from choral standards to world-premieres. The Saturday afternoon performances are free and open to the public!

The ACDA App is live! To download the app, go to your appropriate app store (Google Play for Android users, Apple App Store for Apple iPhone users). Search for ACDA. A few options will come up. You DON'T want the ACDA 2017 National Conference app or the 2018 ACDA Division Conference app. You want the ACDA membership app - it should show up as simply ACDA. The icon is white with the ACDA text in blue and hints of blue and gold in the corners.
Download onto your smart device. You will need your ACDA username and password to use the app. If you don't know this, you may reset either here:
Keep your eyes peeled for video walk thrus showing you how to use various sections of the app. We will post them to our Facebook page and our website.
Also, there will be a printed program booklet available
at the registration desk.
