Robert Shaw Choral Award
Rodney Eichenberger has been named winner of ACDA's prestigious Robert Shaw Choral Award, an award that recognizes exceptional contributions to the choral art. Read more.

Julius Herford Dissertation Prize
Dr. Lindsay Pope has been named the winner for her dissertation "Beyond the Binary: The Intersection of Gender and Cross-Cultural Identity in Reena Esmail's Life and Choral Works." Read more.
Kirke Mechem Seeking Collaborating Choir for 2021 Performance
Mecham has just completed a new work for the 2021 Advent and Christmas season and is looking for a group to commit to a performance then. Befana: A Christmas Fable is a choral theater piece about 36 minutes long and would be suited to a community or a church choral community. Read more.
Film Project About Choral Music in America
Research states that approximately one in six Americans sings in an organized choral ensemble. Choral Singing in America: Nurturing the American Soul, now in production, is a documentary series that explores the myriad traditions of American choral singing and the people, like you and me, who join together to bring these stories to life. Collaborative Films is thrilled to share with you a preview of this documentary series here: ACDA is proud to be providing various archival materials for the film.

Be a part of this year’s Raymond W. Brock Memorial Composition première through virtual informative chats, dialogue (Q&A), and rehearsals led by 2021 Brock composer Bob Chilcott! He is joined by poet Delphine Chalmers to introduce and rehearse movements from this year’s Brock commission, Songs my heart has taught me, in three interactive workshops:
