Join us this fall with an interactive journey to connect us with fellow parishioners and dig deeper into God’s Word. We will be using Bible Project to lead us in our study. As the people of Christ Church, we will read the entire New Testament over the course of two fall semesters. Click here for the readings and links.
There are three ways to engage:
1. Small group discussions on Sundays at 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM. We will begin in a Zoom format where we watch a short video on the Bible book being covered for the week then break out into small groups to discuss two questions.
2. Disciple track – read highlights of the Bible book covered on Sunday each day.
3. Scholar track – read the entire Bible book covered on Sunday over the course of the week.

Mobile Food Pantry
In partnership with Allen Chapel AME, Christ Church gives away 10,000 pounds of food twice a month. The next mobile food pantry date will be Friday, October 23. To sign up to help, email Honey Harris.

Bridging the Gap
Due to Hurricane Sally and the flooding of the Washburn Center, our neighbors without homes are in great need of toiletries, including bars of soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, disposable razors, hand sanitizer, wash clothes, socks, and hand cream. Please click here for more information on how to donate and help make toiletry bags.

Montclair Elementary School
Christ Church works with the leadership of Montclair Elementary to amplify the school's efforts and bless the students. While we cannot provide mentors and tutors like we have in the past, the school’s administration will be working with us on needs that they may have as school starts back.

Pastoral Care/Connection
Christ Church has many ministries that love and support the people who are the church. We will continue to work to support one another through good times and bad, especially during this pandemic. To assist in one of the many ways that we reach out to our church family, email Fr. Walt.

CONSECRATION SUNDAY ~ Sunday, November 1
Consecration Sunday will be on All Saints’ Day (Nov. 1). On All Saints', the pledge cards of all the saints who are Christ Church will be placed on the altar, for it is on the altar that we give our gifts to God and where we receive gifts from God. There will be four ways to make sure your card is included:

  1. You can physically place it on the altar at either of our in-person services that day (8:00 AM and 10:30 AM).
  2. The church will be open that afternoon from 2:00-5:00 PM to say a prayer and place your card on the altar.
  3. You can mail it to the church office (you will receive a card and a return envelope in the mail the week before).
  4. You can fill out a confidential online pledge card. We will print each of these cards and place them on the altar for you.
At 5:00 PM, the clergy will bless all the cards in a short virtual service.

You will receive further communications from the Stewardship Committee as we get closer to All Saints’ Day. But between now and then, prayerfully consider the question I ask you every year: As an act of thanksgiving for what God has given to you, what are you called to give in 2021? — Fr. Michael
To sign up, please email Honey Harris
Individuals and families are welcome to reserve a time to pray in the Chapel of the Beloved Son or a time to sit in peace by the columbarium. You can reserve a time by calling the parish office at (850) 432-5115.

Guillemard StWe need volunteers to work a shift in the morning to either sort or distribute food. Volunteer duties range from directing traffic and filling out forms for families, to more labor-involved duties of sorting and distributing food. Sunday, October 18
In- church chapel services continue to go well. This coming Sunday we will hear the story of “A Giant Staircase to Heaven,” the tower of Babel from the Old Testament book of Genesis. After the people build the tower, God is not pleased. Our discussion will center on why God was not pleased that the people had built this huge tower to heaven. Chapel services include time for opening prayers, a Bible story, snack time and creative work such as painting and modeling with clay and a closing prayer circle. Parents, please sign children up here (max 12 children).

Zoomers can hear the same story presented by Britton Lynn and Rudy at 9:30. The meeting ID is: 3205228708. Britton will let you in through the waiting room.

We look forward to seeing you either in person or on Zoom!

Reminder to parents: Please bring your children directly to the Parish Hall prior to the 10:30 church service. You will enter from the courtyard and breezeway and sign your children in at the Parish Hall door. You and your children will need to wear a mask and remember the guidelines for social distancing.

***The church has purchased copies of The Jesus Storybook Bible for the children. We are trying to get copies to all children. Those who attend in-church chapel will be given a copy of this beautiful Bible. If you are not able to return to church, please click here to arrange pickup at the church during office hours or arrange a delivery to your home.
Sacred Ground Dialogue ~ Sundays, 9:15 AM
History teaches us that past events and actions always have positive or negative impacts for the present and the future. The institution of slavery certainly impacted the history of our country and our present. Slavery's legacy is the topic of discussion for our class this week. A ZOOM connection is our means of conversing from 9:15-10:00 AM on Sundays and is facilitated by Dick Hooper and David Starling. Join the dialogue through the ZOOM link available in the Saturday announcements. Please click here for more information.
Due to Covid 19 and limited capacity, BayLights weekend is programmed as a "Getaway by the Bay" for adults and families. There will be no live entertainment Friday night; no Diocesan Ultreya or Rock Bottom on Saturday. It's an opportunity for a fun filled weekend with your friends and family in God's front yard!
