Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.
There are several ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge, place in the Sunday offering,
give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

CONSECRATION SUNDAY ~ October 5
This day has two important elements: the people coming forward to lay their pledges on the Altar as a sacrificial act of gratitude and faithfulness, and a celebratory meal after the service. After both the 8:00 and 10:30 services, we will break bread together with a casual but delicious meal in the Parish Hall. The nursery will be available during both services and meals. Following the 10:30 service, Children will gather together to eat in the Christian Education building (parents may drop children, 5 yrs. old-5th grade, off in the New Library), and Youth will eat together in the Undercroft.
Our guest preacher for both services on Consecration Sunday will be one of our own, the Rev. Luke Jernagan. Luke grew up at Christ Church, and this parish sponsored him through seminary and ordination. Luke and his family live in St. Louis, where he serves as a bivocational priest at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and advises enterprise families across the U.S.
There are four ways to place your pledge on the Altar for the blessing on Consecration Sunday:
1. Attend the 8 AM or 10:30 AM service on Consecration Sunday (October 5th).
2. Mail the card using the stamped envelope included in the letter sent out.
3. Drop off your card by the church office between 9 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
4. Complete a confidential online pledge card. The pledge card can be found at the link below or on the website (www.christ-church.net).
To submit your pledge card online, please click here.
Please RSVP for Consecration Sunday to help us with a head count for food.
Please fill out a card even if you will not be able to attend.

MONTCLAIR ELEMENTARY OCTOBER DRIVE:
Just the BASICS
Sunday, October 12 – Sunday, October 26
Imagine needing the most basic items on a meager budget. Imagine needing underwear. Imagine being hungry as you head into your school day. Imagine needing a blanket at night, or a pillow. Imagine needing these simplest items we take for granted. There are children at Montclair who lack these basics. For a family in desperate circumstances, underwear might have to wait – maybe next month. The Montclair Navigator can provide help tactfully and discreetly by gathering donations and keeping them on hand for emergencies. She hands out snacks to hungry students. She assists families who have suffered fires or eviction. She has asked for our urgent help to provide the following:
Underwear: Female – All sizes from Girl’s size 4 to Ladies panties size 10 (wide range of sizes)
Male – Boys sizes 4 - 16 (or XS to XL), Men's sizes M - XL for the big boys
Last Minute Breakfast: NutriGrain Bars; Kelloggs Pop Tarts Variety Packs (strawberry, cherry, blueberry, brown sugar)
Emergency Bedding: Clean blankets, bed pillows
Please help with these small, basic needs. Look for the Montclair Donation Box in the Foyer from Sunday, October 12 to Sunday, October 26. Thank you for your kind generosity in helping our Montclair partnership students!

CHILDREN & FAMILY MINISTRY!
Children and Family Ministry (CFM) has two ways to keep our families connected with Christ Church during the week. CFM is on Instagram, @cckidspensacola, and shares what is happening on Sunday mornings & ideas for how to keep faithful conversations happening during the week. CHRIST CHURCH NAMETAGS
To request yours, please sign up online here. Nametags may be picked up from the information table in the Foyer the Sunday after your request is submitted.
| | |
ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Foyer.
| | |
CHURCH PRAYER SHAWLS
A few prayer shawls have been placed on a stand just inside the front doors of the church that may be used during services. If you are a bit chilly or just want something to hold, pick up a prayer shawl to use. It is the hope of the Prayer Shawl Ministry that these items, prayerfully made, will offer comfort and a sense of well-being to the borrowers and they will feel God’s love and peace.

CARE IN COMMUNITY
Christ Church is here for you. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. Contact Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office (850-432-5115) if you or anyone you know has any needs.
