The Bible Project
Join Zoom Meeting ~ Sundays, 9:30 AM
(no passcode)

Join us this fall with an interactive journey to connect us with fellow parishioners and dig deeper into God’s Word. We will be using Bible Project to lead us in our study. As the people of Christ Church, we will read the entire New Testament over the course of two fall semesters. Click here for the readings and links.
There are three ways to engage:
1. Small group discussion on Sundays at 9:30 AM. We will begin in a Zoom format where we watch a short video on the Bible book being covered for the week then break out into small groups to discuss two questions.
2. Disciple track – read highlights of the Bible book covered on Sunday each day.
3. Scholar track – read the entire Bible book covered on Sunday over the course of the week.

The Fourth Sunday of Advent — We will light the fourth Advent candle – the candle for Love. This will be our final celebration of the birth of our Lord before Epiphany and we will have a party. Hot cocoa, treats, goody bags and a special visitor will be part of this joyful time for us. Be sure and sign up early! Please join us either in-church or as a Zoomer. Parents, please sign children up here (max 15 children).

For those who are with us on Zoom, Britton Lynn and Rudy will be with you to tell this story — these sessions begin at 9:30 AM. The meeting ID is 3205228708. Britton will let you in through the waiting room.

Reminder to parents: Please bring your children directly to the Parish Hall prior to the 10:30 church service. You will enter from the courtyard and breezeway and sign your children in at the Parish Hall door. You and your children will need to wear a mask and remember the guidelines for social distancing.
Peace and Grace to you during this Advent Season. This Order of Compline is brought to you from Christ Church Pensacola. Settle in where you are at this moment and make yourself quiet, light a candle if you like...and breathe. Compline can be done right where you are — it is typically done right before going to sleep. It can be done in your home, backyard, favorite outdoor space or church. You can be by yourself or with others. The Order of Compline we are using is found in the Book of Common Prayer on page 127. Deacon Rachel Iversen invites you to join her during this season of Advent to find rest in this nightly service of Compline. The YouTube link can be found here.
Jesus: Light of the World ~ Sundays, 9:00 AM
Most people can remember at least bits and pieces of Jesus' birth stories, but most people also have a lot to learn about significant details of events and people who affected his life. In Amy-Jill Levine's book, Light of the World, she writes, "Knowing the where and when of Jesus is essential for understanding him." This Sunday's class (chapter one) examines why and how the birth of John the Baptist and his parents are important to understand Jesus' life. The time for this Zoom class is slightly changed and begins at 9:00 AM. Dick Hooper and David Starling are facilitating. Join the dialogue through the ZOOM link available in the Saturday announcements. Please click here for more information.
