OUR PARISH MISSION
Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.

There are three ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge, give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY CHAPEL
~ Sunday, February 21 ~
The Valentine’s Day celebration was certainly a fun time for the children as we heard the story of St. Valentine and the healing of a little blind girl, had special treats, and painted beautiful hearts. This coming Sunday we will begin the season of Lent by learning about this important time in the church year. We will use this Sunday to complete some of our projects and review all the basic stories we have heard from our Jesus Storybook Bibles. Remember, we welcome new children each Sunday, and, of course, dolls are welcome! Please sign children up here (max 20 children).

For those who are with us on Zoom, Britton Lynn and Rudy will be with you to tell this story — these sessions begin at 9:30 AM. The meeting ID is 3205228708. Britton will let you in through the waiting room.
MARCH MADNESS 2021 IS COMING!
Lent is almost here and so is our annual Christ Church “March Madness”. This competition supports Episcopal Relief & Development and its efforts to fight poverty and disease, provide disaster relief, and promote sustainability throughout the world. The 2021 “March Madness” will kick off right after Ash Wednesday and run until Easter Sunday.

Last year after several championship seasons, the Chickens were soundly defeated by the Cows. This year the Champion Cows will take on a veteran contender, the Goats. Parishioners have the opportunity to “purchase” for $80 either a Goat or a Cow. As Lent gets underway, look for more information on how you can participate in the fun and transform lives!

A River Through the Desert: A Lenten Pilgrimage
This study for Lent was written by Richard Sewell, Dean of St. George's College, Jerusalem. It considers the significance of places in the desert where Jesus causes faith "to flower and flourish in unexpected ways." This week Jesus meets a very assertive and articulate woman at a well who makes a life changing discovery and may be the first woman preacher (John 4:1-42). Dick Hooper and David Starling facilitate this study at 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings through ZOOM. Join the class through the link available in the Saturday announcements. Please click here for more information.
ONLINE COMPLINE
Settle in where you are at this moment and make yourself quiet, light a candle if you like...and breathe. Compline can be done right where you are — it is typically done right before going to sleep. It can be done in your home, backyard, favorite outdoor space or church. You can be by yourself or with others. The Order of Compline we are using is found in the Book of Common Prayer on page 127. Deacon Rachel Iversen invites you to join her to find rest in this nightly service of Compline. The YouTube link can be found here.
EPISCOPAL YOUTH COMMUNITY NEWS
ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here.
CARE IN COMMUNITY
Christ Church is here for you. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. We continue to support one another, especially during this pandemic. If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected right now, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137.
