CHILDREN'S SUNDAY CHAPEL
~ Sunday, May 16 ~
Although attendance was down a bit for Mother’s Day, we made small flower arrangements for our mothers and grandmothers. With bright red carnations and yellow sunflowers in hand, Evie, Mary Clark, Chloe and Carly passed out flowers in the courtyard bringing happiness and smiles to those who received a flower. As we near the end of the school year, we continue with our stories about Jesus and this coming Sunday we will hear the story of Jesus and the children from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. We will work to complete some of the art projects we have begun, and for those who have not yet made prayer beads we will have a station set up for that activity. Each week we review previous lessons as we prepare for our Bible quiz on May 30. **Please note: no sign-up required any longer**
For those who are with us on Zoom, Britton and Rudy will be with you to tell a story — these sessions begin at 9:30 AM. The meeting ID is 3205228708. Britton will let you in through the waiting room.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FAITH BUILD 2021
Each year, faith-based communities from Escambia and Santa Rosa counties come together during a week in May to build a home for a local family. All are welcome to join us in putting God’s love into action. Together, we can demonstrate the love of God and be advocates for affordable housing. There is still space available for volunteers this week! Volunteers will be led by Habitat's construction crew leaders and work to frame the home — no construction experience is necessary as crew leaders will teach you everything you need to know! The day begins at 8:00 AM and will be over by 2:30 PM. Pensacola Habitat is also hosting a special Faith Build picnic where volunteers can meet each other and the Pensacola Habitat Home Buyer who will be living in the home they are helping to construct! To sign up go to faithbuild.pensacolahabitat.org and click the ‘Join Faith Build’ button.

ADULT CHRISTIAN ED OFFERING ~ Faith For Our Times Sundays ~ 9:00 AM (via Zoom)
From early childhood every person makes decisions about groups or organizations to join. The groups chosen in some way reflect parts of our identity and loyalties. When the groups or organizations change significantly the members react with grief and bewilderment. Our conversation this week will center on Diana Butler Bass' insights in Chapter 6, "Belonging", of her book Christianity after Religion. Join the conversation at 9:00 AM on Sundays through the ZOOM link provided in the Saturday email. Dick Hooper and David Starling facilitate the sessions. Please click here for more information.

EDS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT ANNOUNCED
Episcopal Day School proudly announces the Grace E. Snyder Scholarship for Single Parents has been awarded to EDS 7th Grader Brandi Rhodes for the 2021-2022 school year. CARE IN COMMUNITY
Christ Church is here for you. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. We continue to support one another, especially during this pandemic. If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected right now, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137.
