If you are in a position to continue giving to God through Christ Church, please do so. You can mail in your pledge or  Give Online .

with all of the service links that you need.

Sunday Morning ~ 10:30 AM
Join us for our streamed service on  Facebook Live  or  YouTube
at 10:30 AM on Sunday morning.
**See Saturday's email for links for worship and Christian formation.**

Wednesday ~ 12:00 PM
Join us for Noonday Prayer streamed on  Facebook Live .

Prayer Requests: We still do prayer requests for Sundays in two ways: 1) Email Rev. Katie, kathryn@christ-church.net , by noon on Wednesday and they will be included in the recording. 2) During the live-stream, add your prayer requests in the comments section and Fr. Michael and Rev. Katie will pray for them in the church and throughout the week.

Online Lay Readers: As part of our Sunday worship, we are looking for people willing to record themselves at home doing the readings and then uploading them via share files. This does not have to only be adults. Parents, we would love to see and hear your children read as part of the service! If you are willing to read, please email Honey Harris at  honey@christ-church.net

Christ Church is here for you. If you are interested in checking in with fellow Christ Church families, email Honey Harris,  honey@christ-church.net; or Fr. Walt at  walt@christ-church.net if you or anyone you know has any needs. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected right now, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello.

If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137 .
Christ Church’s principal service continues to be our online service at 10:30 AM on Facebook and YouTube, but we will also be providing a time for Communion and Prayer in the church. While this will not be like our “normal” service (e.g., there will not be a sermon or congregational singing, and masks are required to be worn), it allows for an opportunity to pray in our sanctuary and receive communion. For more information, please read the guidelines here . Again, we want the entire congregation to continue to join together online. This is a supplemental opportunity.

Communion and Prayer is offered:
Sunday at 1:00 PM
Sunday at 5:00 PM
Monday at 12:00 noon
Wednesday at 8:00 AM
Because we need to limit the number who gather, please sign up to attend here or call Traci at the church office, 432-5115, ext. 236.
Our next food distribution for the Mobile Food Pantry is this Friday . Please email Honey, honey@christ-church.net , if you are interested in volunteering. See below for more details and a list of other opportunities to serve.
During this time, there are ways to effectively and safely extend our hands in love to our neighbors in need. Each week, the Chronicle will provide upcoming opportunities and a list of other ways to be involved. If you are looking for ways to be involved, please consider these immediate needs of our community:

Mobile Food Pantry Food Distribution – Christ Church, THIS FRIDAY & June 19
This Friday, we will hand out 10,000 pounds of food. We are looking for a team of hardworking people who can work one of two shifts that day (sorting and distribution). There will be some labor-intensive jobs (i.e., carrying boxes of food) and other jobs (i.e., filling out forms for each car). While it is outdoors and we take precautions like masks, please do not volunteer if you are at a high risk of infection or if you are not feeling well. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Honey Harris at h oney@christ-church.net .

Summer of Service: Masks for Freedom School – At home, anytime, by June 22
This summer, Christ Church is participating in hosting a summer reading program for underprivileged students (called the CDF Freedom Schools). CDF Freedom Schools is a culturally enriching program that strengthens literacy, civic, and socioemotional skills. In preparing for the safety of our students, we need youth-sized masks. Please email Rev. Katie at kathryn@christ-church.net if you are able to help.

Additional Opportunities:
  • Supporting Healthcare Workers: Find ways to help support caregivers at Baptist Healthcare, Ascension Sacred Heart, or West Florida Healthcare.
  • Masks and Gowns: Masks and Gowns are in need and may be donated to Baptist. Guidelines may be found on our website: Mask Instructions. If you have masks to donate or are in need of masks, please email Rev. Katie at kathryn@christ-church.net who will connect you.
  • Donate Blood: If you are healthy and able to donate blood, please follow the links for instructions and how to schedule an appointment: American Red Cross and One Blood.
  • Feeding Ministries:
  • Sunday Breakfast in the Park: On Sunday mornings, a parishioner serves breakfast to our neighbors in need. If you are interested in helping prepare pre-packaged breakfast for distribution on Sunday morning, please email Rev. Katie at kathryn@christ-church.net who will connect you to Scott who has started Breakfast in the Park.
  • Bridging the Gap Collection: Thank you for your continued support! Our neighbors continue to need hygiene supplies (including individually packaged wet wipes), sunscreen, and snack food items (snack bars or other easily carried items). If you have supplies to donate, you may drop them off in the box by the church office.
  • Waterfront Mission: The Waterfront Mission shelter is accepting donations for food and greatly needs hygiene produces. Contact Waterfront directly to donate.
  • UWF Argo Food Pantry: The Argo Pantry provides food to currently enrolled UWF students in need of assistance. The Argo Pantry accepts nonperishable food and personal care items. For a list of needs and where at UWF to bring donations: UWF Argo Pantry.
  • Manna Food Pantries: Manna is unable to accept donations of food at this time. We will update you as to when they will be accepting food donations again.
  • For Children: Christ Church is collecting paper chain links that share messages of LOVE and HOPE to inspire the world. Our links, and the links of children around the world, will be connected for the Guinness Book of World Records, then distributed to senior centers and hospitals as a beautiful reminder that we are all “Linked By Love!” Specific instructions can be found here: Linked By Love. Send completed links to: Christ Church, c/o Jen Leahey, 18 W. Wright. St., Pensacola, FL 32501.
Rabbi Naomi Levy's new book,  Einstein and the Rabbi: Searching for the Soul will be the focus of this class. She uses her personal search for a letter written by Einstein as a metaphor for the human search for food for the soul. This group will be gathered through Zoom internet connection and will begin June 14, 2020. This format allows only one person to speak at a time, and that can offer an opportunity to listen more intently on the thoughts of others. Dick Hooper and David Starling will facilitate the discussion. Several books have been ordered and if you would like to reserve a book, you may contact David Starling by text or phone (850)712-0977 or email dastarling@cox.net .
Come journey with us in Education for Ministry (EfM) as we explore theology, the new frontier. People with big questions and a hunger to better understand our faith join together weekly to study Old Testament, New Testament, church history and theological thinking in a four year program which builds fellowship, understanding and a sense of how God is working in your life. For additional information see University of the South, Sewanee, http://efm.sewanee.edu/about-efm/about-efm . Contact Pam Tanner ( pamtanner@aol.com ), 850-471-0291, with questions or to register for our upcoming year, which will start, God willing, in September.
The Robinson Scholarship is a perpetual scholarship fund established at Christ Church in loving memory of Judge Grover C. Robinson, Jr., and his granddaughter, Miss Lowrey E. Robinson. The application is available here and should be returned to Kelly Heindl in the Parish Office by Monday, June 15 .
