OUR PARISH MISSION

Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.

We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING

God's love.

There are several ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:

you can mail in your pledge, place in the Sunday offering,

give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

How to Pray: A Simple Guide for Normal People

Sundays ~ 9:15-10:15 AM ~ Room 31, 2nd floor of Education Building

Prayers to petition seem to be a predominate form and intention of praying. One often has a list of concerns to discuss with and ask God to help resolve. The scriptures instruct us to ask, “in the name of the Lord.” What does that mean and how does one petition in God’s name? This is the subject for discussion and examination.

JOIN THE CHRIST CHURCH USHERS!

Special Usher Meeting

Sunday, July 12 ~ after both services ~ Church Nave

The ushers are a ministry of hospitality who welcome and assist people in worship. Ushers are often one of the first individuals a parishioner or newcomer to the Church encounters. With a growing congregation, Christ Church needs more ushers at both of our Sunday services and other special services. If you are interested in joining this historic and significant ministry, stay after one of the services on Sunday, July 12. Contact Rev. Katie for more information or with any questions or speak to Ed Holt or one of the ushers.

CHRIST CHURCH SUMMER CHOIR

Are you somewhat interested in singing in the Christ Church Choir but unsure about a long-term commitment? Or perhaps you and a family member or friend might like to try something new together? The Christ Church Summer Choir may be just the thing for you! This summer program features limited rehearsal time and accessible choir literature. Rehearsals will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the Choir Room on the following dates: July 15 & 29; and August 5.

After rehearsal, all interested may adjourn to a nearby locale for fellowship. On Sundays, the choir arrives at 9:30 a.m. to warm up and rehearse for the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist. Prospective singers are not required to commit to singing the entire summer but may join as they are able. If you are interested, please contact Dr. Jason or attend a Wednesday evening rehearsal on one of the above dates. Come join us as we make our joyful noise unto the Lord!

STAY CONNECTED WITH

CHILDREN & FAMILY MINISTRY!

Children and Family Ministry (CFM) has two ways to keep our families connected with Christ Church during the week. CFM is on Instagram, @cckidspensacola, and shares what is happening on Sunday mornings & ideas for how to keep faithful conversations happening during the week. CFM also has a bite-sized weekly email with the "5 Things" our families need to know for the week – Sunday reminders, save the dates, and more. Email Sarah to be added to the list!

CHRIST CHURCH NAMETAGS

To request yours, please sign up online here. Nametags may be picked up from the information table in the Foyer the Sunday after your request is submitted.

ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS

Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Foyer.

CHURCH PRAYER SHAWLS

A few prayer shawls have been placed on a stand just inside the front doors of the church that may be used during services. If you are a bit chilly or just want something to hold, pick up a prayer shawl to use. It is the hope of the Prayer Shawl Ministry that these items, prayerfully made, will offer comfort and a sense of well-being to the borrowers and they will feel God’s love and peace.

CARE IN COMMUNITY

Christ Church is here for you. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. Contact Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office (850-432-5115) if you or anyone you know has any needs.
