Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.
There are several ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge, place in the Sunday offering,
give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

Jesus for Everyone: Not Just Christians by Amy-Jill Levine
Sundays ~ 9:30-10:15 AM ~ Rm. 31 of Education Bldg.
Two stories of Jesus’ interacting with women are the central focus of the section of Chapter 3: “Ethnicity and Race” for discussion for this class session. The episodes are familiar to us as “The Syrophoenician Woman” and “The Samaritan Woman at the Well.” Ms. Levine examines the question, what do they teach us about building relationships with those who do not identify as part of our group.

Save the date!!
CONSECRATION SUNDAY ~ October 5
This day has two important elements: the people coming forward to lay their pledges on the Altar as a sacrificial act of gratitude and faithfulness, and a celebratory meal after the service. After both the 8:00 and 10:30 services, we will break bread together with a casual but delicious meal in the Parish Hall. The nursery will be available during both services and meals. Following the 10:30 service, Children will gather together to eat in the Christian Education building (parents may drop children, 5 yrs.old-5th grade, off in the New Library), and Youth will eat together in the Undercroft.
Our guest preacher for both services on Consecration Sunday will be one of our own, the Rev. Luke Jernagan. Luke grew up at Christ Church, and this parish sponsored him through seminary and ordination. Luke and his family live in St. Louis, where he serves as a bivocational priest at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and advises enterprise families across the U.S.
There are four ways to place your pledge on the Altar for the blessing on Consecration Sunday:
1. Attend the 8 AM or 10:30 AM service on Consecration Sunday (October 5th).
2. Mail the card using the stamped envelope included in the letter sent out.
3. Drop off your card by the church office between 9 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
4. Complete a confidential online pledge card. The pledge card can be found at the link below or on the website (www.christ-church.net).
To submit your pledge card online, please click here.
Please RSVP for Consecration Sunday to help us with a head count for food.
Please fill out a card even if you will not be able to attend.

MUSIC AT CHRIST CHURCH SERIES RETURNS
WITH THE FOUR SEASONS BRASS!
Friday, September 26 ~ 7:00 PM
Friday, September 26 sees the return of the Music at Christ Church series, starting off with a concert by the Four Seasons Brass ensemble. The Four Seasons Brass is a twelve-piece brass ensemble founded in 1992 by Pensacola musicians Dale Riegle and Don Snowden and, most of whom are members of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra.
The Music at Christ Church series seeks to bring vibrant musical events to the Pensacola public. At the heart of the series are the Christ Church Parish Choir and the Anglican-Episcopal office of Choral Evensong, one of the oldest and most beautiful liturgies in our tradition, dating back to the first English Book of Common Prayer of 1549. Hand-in-hand with this is the service of Lessons & Carols, modeled on that of King’s College, Cambridge, celebrated since the early 20th Century. Additional secular concerts showcase music across a wide variety of genres and styles.
All Music at Christ Church events are offered free of charge. Music at Christ Church relies on the generosity of its patrons, sponsors, and attendees to produce the events it offers to the public. Please consider leaving a donation at individual events or becoming a patron or event sponsor.

CHRIST CHURCH NAMETAGS
To request yours, please sign up online here. Nametags may be picked up from the information table in the Foyer the Sunday after your request is submitted.

ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Foyer.
| | |
CHURCH PRAYER SHAWLS
A few prayer shawls have been placed on a stand just inside the front doors of the church that may be used during services. If you are a bit chilly or just want something to hold, pick up a prayer shawl to use. It is the hope of the Prayer Shawl Ministry that these items, prayerfully made, will offer comfort and a sense of well-being to the borrowers and they will feel God’s love and peace.

CARE IN COMMUNITY

If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137.
