*** Winter Weather Service Changes for Sunday, January 25***
In view of anticipated winter weather and the declared state of emergency in Maryland, we will not be holding in person services this Sunday.
There will be a single service at 10:00, live on Zoom.
We hope you will all join us from the safety and warmth of your homes.
All other activities in the church building have been cancelled.
Be very careful, stay home if at all possible, and check on family and friends who live alone or may need assistance.
Blessings to all.

Snow Shovel Brigade - Can You Help?
We have a contract for the clearing of our parking lot, but would love your assistance with shoveling our walks for the safety of our neighbors, fellow parishioners, and church staff.
Do you live close to the church, or have good all-weather transportation? Have a strong back and a snow shovel? If so, and you are willing to come to the church on Monday to help with clearing our walkways, please contact Bob Quinn at (301) 785-2600, rpquinn40541@gmail.com to coordinate. Have a snow blower you can lend to the effort? Even better! Many shovels make light work! SSL hours available for students.

The Intersection of Faith & Science:
Three-Part Series continues Feb. 8
Come explore the intersection of faith & science this Epiphany season, led by parishioners Chris Ours, MD, Joan Centrella, PhD, and Ann Hagan, PhD.
The next two forums will be held on February 8, and March 1 -- following the 10am service in the Parish Hall. Over the course of this series, we will ask: How do we in the Christian community think about what it means to be human, created in God’s image and existing in relationship with God and one another, in the context of scientific and technological advancements?
The second session, on February 8 will focus on Genetics; and the third, on March 1, on AI. Each session will include time for Q&A. We hope you will join us for what will surely be very interesting presentations and discussions!

VBS Announcement
Growing in God's Garden this Summer
TENTATIVE DATES
Monday, June 29 - --Friday, July 3
Seeking Adult Volunteers for the Core Morning Sessions: 9 am - 12 Noon
We would like to offer "Growing in God's Garden" for children ages 4 - 10 this summer during the week of Monday, June 29 through Friday, July 3, with the five-day core session from 9 am to Noon and the option to bring lunch and stay to play from Noon to 2 pm Monday through Thursday. In order to proceed with planning the VBS program, we need adult volunteers who can participate in the core session (9 am - Noon) on one or more days.
Our goal is four adult volunteers each morning to supervise youth volunteers and co-lead small groups of children in preplanned activities that include arts & crafts, drama, music, gardening, and baking. Adult volunteers with children at VBS will be offered a reduction in fees for each day. The cost for the week will remain at our traditional modest level.
Please email Ann Enkiri (sundayschool@ccpk.org) to volunteer or to request additional information.
