TOWN HALL WITH PASTOR TODD

SOUP-ER BOWL FOOD DRIVE
Tonight is the NFC Championship Game that decides who plays in the Super Bowl! But even people who don't care about football can participate in this friendly, low-stress competition to help raise food donations for the pantries at Rising Hope Mission Church.
Pick up a bag from Christ Church between services TODAY or next Sunday. Bring the bags filled with non-perishable food items to the marked bins at our front doors between Jan 30–Feb 12, and cast your vote for which team you want to win the Super Bowl. Even if your team doesn't win, God's people do.

Registration for the 2023–2024 school year opens THIS WEEK
Children learn best when they are fully engaged and active participants in their learning process. Our program places importance on creating a positive start to education in a strongly Christian-based, hands-on learning environment. Here children will participate in Morning Meeting, Learning Centers, themed activities, Bible class, chapel, music, art, P.E. and many more fun learning opportunities, creating an engaging, well-rounded program of excellence.
Registration for 2023–'24 school year is open to Christ Church members TODAY.
Registration is open to all families THIS FRIDAY, February 3, and continues rolling registration until all slots are filled.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER & DISCIPLESHIP
Dinner at 5:30pm • Discipleship from 6:30–7:45pm
Make this part of your regular routine as part of a strong, Spirit-driven church community. Start the evening off by breaking bread and unwinding with your church family. You can buy food at the church or bring your own.

After dinner, we splinter off throughout the church building into discipleship spanning all ages. Kids and Youth programs that occur on Sundays (Little Sparks, Fuse, Charge 56, Ignite) have Wednesday extensions. We have faith groups for adults led by members of our congregation just like you, as a truly thriving church community is propelled as much by its own lay membership as by its pastoral leadership.

Your New Life
God has given you new life through your faith in Jesus and has called you to grow in your faith. Your New Life, the perfect follow-up to Alpha, will allow you to identify where you are in your faith journey, learn ways to grow closer to God, be equipped to grow in your faith, and learn of other discipleship experiences that will help you embrace your new life. Offered Wednesdays at 6:30pm, online AND in person.

The Purpose Driven Life
Join together for our 3rd Faith Essential course to discover God's purpose for our lives individually and as a part of the greater body of Christ. We use Rick Warren's book, "What on Earth Am I Here For?" (AKA "Purpose Driven Life") as our guide into an interactive experience that will help us create a life purpose statement. Offered Wednesdays at 6:30pm, only in person.

VOLUNTEER FOR HYPOTHERMIA SHELTER
Mondays in February and March
Help us support the unhoused community seeking shelter at Rising Hope Mission Church this winter. We need volunteers willing to either donate portions of a home-cooked dinner or breakfast bags, or serve them to guests at the shelter. Details about service roles are in the signup link.

SAVE THE DATE: Ash Wednesday Service
Wednesday, February 22 from 7–8pm
Join us after our usual weekly dinner on this particular evening for a unique time of worship as we focus on preparing our hearts and minds for the season of Lent leading up to Easter. This service will be online and in person. Stay tuned for more details.

WALK THRU THE BIBLE
Saturday, February 25 from 1–4pm
For adults and children 3rd grade and above. Connect more to the Bible through this unique, live, kinesthetic experience that engages you into the story through multiple senses. Learn the Old Testament narratives and how it connects to the New Testament story through movement and more. Free childcare available for kids either too young or not interested in participating.
EVENT ADMISSION: $20 per participant
Walk-ups accepted while supplies last.

READ THROUGH THE BIBLE IN 2023
Join Pastor Todd and your brothers and sisters at Christ Church in reading together and encouraging each other through the entire Bible in 2023. You can read through the whole Bible by committing to just 20 minutes a day! We are using the YouVersion Bible App and discussing the daily reading on our Midday Prayer online each weekday.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY
Mondays from 7–9pm
Any adult struggling with a hurt, habit or hang-up can benefit from this Christ-centered 12-step program. Our worship service from 7–8pm includes live music and either a lesson or a testimony each week, before we connect in small "open share" groups. Light refreshments served. Childcare available with a week's notice.
