BEAUTIFUL HOPE FUND

Our annual Beautiful Hope Fund sponsorship drive ensures our students have what it takes to be successful: scholarships, a well-maintained and well-supplied school, access to medical/dental care and more. Select a student from the tree in the gathering area today, or register online and a student will be selected for you.

MEN'S PRAYER BREAKFAST
NEXT SATURDAY, December 3 from 8–10am
For men age 14 and older. Start your day with God and connect with other men in the Christ Church community. Enjoy some singing and worship in addition to the most important meal of the day. This is a free event.

HYPOTHERMIA SHELTER
Weekly service opportunity from Dec 2022–March 2023
Help us support the unhoused community seeking shelter at Rising Hope Mission Church this winter. We need volunteers willing to either donate portions of a home-cooked dinner or breakfast bags, or serve them to guests at the shelter. Details about service roles are in the signup link.

PIZZA WITH THE PASTOR
NEXT SUNDAY, December 4 from 12:30–1:30pm
New to Christ Church? Come share a relaxed lunch with Pastor Todd after worship and get acquainted with some of our staff members. This is a prime chance to learn about Christ Church, how your family can best connect and grow here, and whatever else you'd like to ask about.

REMINDER: Angel Tree gifts due NEXT SUNDAY, Dec 4
Did you take an Angel Tree tag? Don't forget to return it with a wrapped gift to the bins in the gathering area! Otherwise, that child won't receive a gift for Christmas.
Tips: Gifts shouldn't cost more than $25. If you can't find the item requested, feel free to substitute a similar item you think the child would enjoy, as that is a suggestion. Gift cards are not recommended unless specifically requested.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
Saturday, December 10 from 9–11am
Get your pictures with Santa here in your church home, and invite your friends and neighbors! Enjoy a pancake and sausage breakfast, Christmas crafts, an entertainment room and a performance from our SHINE Choir.
COST: $3 per child, $5 per adult

MEMBERSHIP CLASS
Sun, Dec 11 from 12:30–2:30pm
All baptized believers are invited to explore who we are, where we came from and what we believe as a church, as well as what it means to join our family as a full member. Attending this class enables you to decide if becoming a Christ Church member is best for you and your family.
Class is held online and in person. If childcare needed for in-person class, register by December 7.

BAPTISM CLASS
Sun, Dec 18 from 12:30–2pm
Considering being baptized or having your children baptized? Whether you're making a first-time profession of faith or renewing previous baptismal vows, you're invited. This pre-requisite orientation gives you the info and preparation you need to participate in our baptism celebrations. Baptisms are during worship on Sun, Jan 8. If childcare is needed for class, register by December 14.

CHRISTMAS DELIVERY OUTREACH
Sunday, December 18 at 1pm
Feed the hungry for Christmas—without having to cook or shop! Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC) could use help delivering food to those in need in the area. Meet up at LCAC to break into teams that will pick up the food items and then make deliveries.

We have comfy seats, coffee and donuts to go, and a live experience that just doesn't entirely translate through the computer screen. We also have programs for kids, youth and people with disabilities to enjoy during main worship services.
Above all, we have family. Come join ours.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY
Mondays from 7–9pm
Any adult struggling with a hurt, habit or hang-up can benefit from this Christ-centered 12-step program. Our worship service from 7–8pm includes live music and either a lesson or a testimony each week, before we connect in small "open share" groups. Light refreshments served. Childcare available with a week's notice.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER & DISCIPLESHIP
Wednesday evenings through December 14
Dinner at 5:30pm • Discipleship from 6:30–7:45pm
These dinners and group meetings have proven to be foundational in building a strong, Spirit-driven church community, so we hope you make this part of your regular routine. Start the evening off by breaking bread and unwinding with your church family. Buy food at the church or bring your own. This week's menu: tacos and rice.

After dinner, we have discipleship options throughout the building spanning all ages.
Kids and Youth programs that occur on Sundays (Little Sparks, Fuse, Charge 56, Ignite) have Wednesday extensions, with drop-off as early as 6:15pm so that adults can attend their faith groups starting at 6:30pm.
