News And Events At Christ Episcopal Church - Somers Point, New Jersey
November 21, 2020
Dear Parishioners:

It is my prayer that this letter finds you and your families safe and well. This has been a challenging year to say the least. As a result of limited in-person worship along with people to people ministries and outreach, 21st Century technology has allowed us to move forward as a parish in worship, discipleship, and ministry to others. The dedication of our wardens, vestry and lay leaders cannot be overstated and we all give thanks for their commitment to our parish!

Due to a rise in COVID cases again in the State of New Jersey the social circumstances for the month of December remain uncertain.  Until further notice we will continue to follow the safety measures approved for Christ Church by the bishop’s task force relating to in-person worship and gatherings.

Included in this letter is the schedule for worship during the month of December. As long as we are able from December onward Wednesday 10:30am Mass will resume, unless otherwise noted. Christmas flower memorials will be published on a special page on our website (christchurchsomerspoint.org) and made available in the church narthex and parish office, as well as, by email upon request to the parish secretary.  Please be sure to have flower memorials sent by email, egiving, or mail by Wednesday, December 23, so that they may be properly published. Christmas offerings and Flower memorials can be given with the provided envelops sent to you by mail or online through egiving our church account is https://www.myegiving.com/app/giving/chri0544122

It is my hope I will be able to see many of you during the Advent and Christmas Seasons. As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior may you all experience the love and joy the he bring to the world!

In Jesus Christ our Lord,

Father Justin

Brotherhood of Saint Andrew and The Giving Tree!

A note about our giving tree:
For the love and safety of our parishioners 0ur tree this year will be virtual, the tree will be in the narthex, but instead of tags the gift giving information will be posted on our website under its own page, with updates as gifts are received . Amongst the Covid pandemic this year we are concentrating our giving to local families in need, as well as Adelaides place( a day shelter for homeless women in AC ).

Last year this was inclusive of Christmas Tree, some decorations, a plentiful supply of holiday eats, as well as the gifts supplied by our generous congregation ! The tree will be set up in the narthex for the first Sunday of Advent and the virtual giving from our website will be displayed at that time . The item or items you choose should be returned ( unwrapped) on or before December 20th. A great big THANK YOU to all who have reached deep into your heart and pockets to help out our neighbors in need! May God Bless Us All !
