News And Events At Christ Episcopal Church - Somers Point, New Jersey
February 27, 2021
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
As a parish and members of the larger Church we continue our Lenten journey into its second week. Many of you participated, both in-person and online, in the Ash Wednesday Service as we were reminded of our mortality through the ashes and invited to look inwardly for repentance and renewal by means of God's grace, a change of heart is the true value in the symbols of Ash Wednesday.

In addition to our Sunday and Wednesday Masses and Vespers Scheduled Tuesday through Saturday at 5:30pm, beginning this upcoming Wednesday we will live-stream Stations of the Cross at 12noon. The Stations of the Cross is a devotion of Western Christianity that goes back, in varying forms, to the 13th Century with Saint Francis of Assisi. For Stations of the Cross on Wednesday, March 3, we will use the form composed by Saint Francis.

Together, may we have a fruitful and spiritually filled Lent, may this Holy Season assist us in becoming better disciples of Jesus our Lord.
