Letter to the Parish:
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
I announced last Sunday at Mass, that after more than 13 years of serving as rector of Christ Church I have discerned a new call. I truly value the friendships and partnership in ministry with all of you. Saying goodbye has not been easy.
There are many accomplishments we did together: successfully launching a Capital Campaign, building a beautiful memorial garden, updating our parish with 21st century technology, successfully getting through a world-wide pandemic, to name a few. Most importantly of all, we have developed a Sunday School and Youth Forum based on the traditions of the Episcopal Church that forms our youth in being followers of Christ. The same has developed for our adults in faith formation.
I thank the wardens, vestry, and all the active members of our parish for their love and support, and their dedication in ministry over the years.
My last Sunday is Easter Day, March 31. After that date in accordance with the rules of our Church I will not be able to have pastoral contact with you. It will be your time, with the vestry, to focus on your next rector and new ministry with him/her.
My next call will be the rector of Saint Mary's Episcopal Church in Hampton Bays, NY. Please keep me in your prayers, as I will keep you in mine.
Yours in Christ,
Father Justin
