The HEAAT Foundation Inc, (HELPING TO EDUCATE AND ADVOCATE AGAINST
TRAFFICKING), is a non-profit organization that has been committed to supporting and advocating for victims and survivors of commercial sexual exploitation, forced labor and domestic servitude since 2010. An outgrowth of the Anti-Trafficking Taskforce of Atlantic County (ATTAC), HEAAT's mission is to develop a coordinated community response to combat the perpetrators of this form of modern day slavery.

Since 2010, our team of volunteers has been committed to serving victims and survivors by providing Resources and Support through fundraising/community awareness campaigns; delivering Educational Awareness Programs around the state; Sponsoring a Stockton Student HEAAT Club-4 years+; engaging in Legislative and Policy Advocacy at both state and federal levels; participating in NJ State Coalitions for HT; provided two 8-week educational groups for incarcerated victim. This is being done to be able to spread awareness about the crimes of human trafficking and generate victim support.

HEAAT has recently found a new home at Christ Episcopal Church
in Somers Point. Currently, this space is being used for:

Outreach program and Drop-in Center (by appointment)
Using a collaborative, safe and effective system to engage, provide basic needs and linkage to services

HEAAT members are so happy with our new home! HEAAT is utilizing the space that was graciously donated by CEC to ensure that survivors and victims can pick up some basic needs or be linked/referred to appropriate resources. The space is also being used to conduct meetings to plan prevention projects and future training and awareness events for the community.

Please email [email protected] if you would like to be involved in any upcoming events or make a donation.

We have forged great partnerships with many providers and are looking forward to new collaborations so that everyone can join together to make a difference in the fight against Modern Day Slavery.

Memorial Garden Committee

What a joy for the creation of the St. Christopher Memorial Garden of Christ Church.  We are thankful for the funds received through the Diocese from the former Church of the Epiphany, Ventnor, that enabled this project to be completed.  This is now an opportunity for you to support the perpetual care of the memorial garden.

You can do this by purchasing a dedication brick to be placed on part of the garden pathway.  At this time there are a limited number of bricks available.  Your engraved brick can be obtained at $100.00 per brick.  A couple of ideas for the dedication are in memory of someone, honoring someone, or sponsoring a brick for whatever reason.

To obtain an order form, you may leave a message at the church office at 609-927-6262 or email Marilyn Anderson [email protected].  Forms are also available in the church narthex.

Yours in Christ,

Memorial Garden Committee
