Message from our Rector
One Bread, One Body, One Parish!

Dear Parishioners and friends,

It is my prayer that this letter finds you all safe and well.   As we continue to live in a time of restrictions with social gatherings and in-person worship our parish remains committed to its worship, ministry and service towards others!

Our on-line worship, including Sundays and weekday vespers, has received over 25,000 views over the past four months! We have been blessed with positive feedback not only from parishioners but people from all over the country who have become accustomed to joining us through Facebook live.

Parishioners continue to make cloth masks that are available to those who need them in the parish office.  Marian Heacock, who leads our parish Lunch Fellowship, along with those in that ministry make care packages for the residents of Spring Village in Galloway, since the parish hall has been closed.

Ed Zipf our Warden in charge of property implemented solar lights to shine on our outside flags and in key areas within the Saint Christopher Memorial Garden at night.  The Society of Mary makes use of the Memorial Garden to pray the rosary together on the first Tuesday of each month at 11 am.

Boy Scout Troop 55, which we proudly sponsor, is volunteering to give our parish hall a new paint job during the month of August; while vestry member Diane McKeefery has managed the beginning of the first phase of updating our parish hall kitchen, we now have new floors, a new microwave, and restaurant style sink.  These kitchen improvements have been made possible by the generosity of those who contribute to our Capital Fund.  If anyone wishes to make a contribution to this fund may do so by writing a check to Christ Church-Capital Fund.

We anticipate reopening to in-person worship on Sunday, September 13.  Our Parish Committee for Health and Safety has completed the required reopening plan to submit to the diocese and once it is approved a hard copy letter will be sent to all parishioners on our mailing list detailing the instructions for in-person worship at the church.  These details, once approved will also be made available on our parish website and Facebook page.

I look forward for us to be together, in-person, as soon as safely possible, thank you for your support and prayers!

  Blessings in Christ our Lord,

Fr. Justin Falciani
