"I thank our God when I think of you..." (Paul's letter to the Philippians)
A year ago, who would have guessed that our Christmas celebrations this year would need to be completely reimagined. And yet we did reimagine them. No mere pandemic was going to keep us from celebrating again the arrival of Jesus and his message in our hearts and our world! I am so grateful to the parish for rising to the call. To musicians, readers, intercessors, altar guild members, technical helpers, office volunteers, Pageant Players and their parents and helpers, worshippers, you!--thank you and Merry Christmas (we get to say that for twelve days.)
A word about our colors...
As we enter into the season of Epiphany, our liturgical colors change as well.
The color is green--symbolizing growth, hope, and eternal life. We'll use variations of this color in our communications, as well as for the liturgical dressing of the church and clergy.
Thanks to the MANY of you who have cooked casseroles, baked cookies, made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and packed lunch bags, bought bananas and helped in so many other ways to provide for to our brothers and sisters in Boston. We have finished the first 6 months of this new way of serving the MANNA community, and realistically, we need to plan for 6 more months before we can all be together cooking again. Please join us in 2021.

The dates we will be preparing lunch for Manna in 2021 will be 1/10, 2/14, 3/14, 4/11, 5/9 and 6/13.
We are looking for a few Superheroes folks willing to commit to contributing in some way every month for the next 6 months. We are also looking for ordinary heroes— those of you who can commit to contributing something for one or two months.

Here’s what we need:
  • 5 families to make American Chop Suey Casseroles (pans and recipe will be provided)
  • 4 families to bake 25 nut free, individually wrapped cookies
  • 3 families to buy 25 bananas each
  • 3 families to each prepare 25 lunch bags including a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, juice box and perhaps a small treat
  • Driver- easy breezy and we will give you precise directions.

Please contact any of us below if you have questions or would like to help.
Emilie HitronJoanna Starr, and Ingrid Melvin. Thank you for loving our neighbors in this way.
