Sunday School Teachers

Last year we were blessed to have a restart for our Sunday School program. This year starting September 7th we would like to begin weekly Sunday school at 9:15AM. We need two things to have Sunday School. First, we need individuals who are willing to teach. It is a big commitment to teach Sunday School. This commitment can have a profound impact on a child’s life. Have you considered being a Sunday School teacher? Below are listed the qualities of a great Sunday School teacher.

The 8 Qualities of a Great Sunday School Teacher:

1) A heart for God

2) A love for people

3) A passion for God’s Word

4) A habit of praying

5) A commitment to personal growth

6) An ability to teach

7) A willingness to prepare

8) A dedication to the people they teach



Secondly, we need parents to commit to bringing their children on Sunday morning. Parental support is critical to children growing up in faith. The lessons your children learn in Sunday School should be repeated during the week at home. There is a richness in studying God’s loving relationship with His children that we learn from the study of Scripture. The lessons have a take home component and there are resources available online.

Here is the bottom line. We need teachers and helpers for our Sunday School program. We need parents who are committed to support and encourage their children as the grow in the study of God’s Word. What a tremendous opportunity we have.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation class for seventh and eighth graders will begin September 3. Confirmation for the eighth-grade students will be April 19, 2026.

The class will meet at 6p to 7p on Wednesdays in the church basement.  A letter will be sent out to the parents of the seventh and eighth graders. If you have a seventh or eighth grader and do not receive a letter by mid-August, please contact the church office. 

Back to School Blessings Bash

We’re excited to invite all our kids and families to a

“Back to School

Blessings Bash”

on Sunday, August 10th, right after the 10:30 AM service!

As a church family, we want to send our students into the new school year with love, encouragement, and support.

Join us for a time of fun, prayer, and blessing!

We’ll have:

- School supplies to help lighten the load

-hot dogs and chips

-crafts for the kids

-A special prayer over our students

-Encouragement to remind each child that they are deeply loved by God and their church family

Let’s kick off the school year with faith, fun, and fellowship!

LUTHERAN CHURCH FOR RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Sunday, August 10th, 2025

Rev. Mark Frith, National Director of the Champions for Religious Liberty Network will be the guest preacher.

During the Sunday School hour he will give a presentation on how this Network educates and connects Christians to engage culture and government from a Biblical worldview.

I would encourage everyone to attend.
