Mass of Remembrance

A special Mass of Remembrance will be held on

Sunday, November 8 at 10:30am at CTK.

At that Mass we will pray specially for all who have died during this past year.

Mass of Remembrance at St. Stephen Church

In November at St. Stephen we remember those who have passed before us. Our Mass of Remembrance will take place on Sunday, November 8, at 9:30 am.

If you have a loved one that has died during this past year and would like their name included on our memorial scroll, please contact the St. Stephen office.

Additionally, a memorial table is set up in the back of the church to display pictures of deceased loved ones from all times. You are welcome to bring your pictures to be displayed throughout November.

Book of Remembrance

In front of the church at CTK

(near the Baptism Font)

we have our Book of Remembrance.

You are invited to write in it the names of your

deceased loved ones.

Weekly Scripture Reflections

Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Welcome to our weekly reflections on

the Sunday Scriptures.

A major theme of this weekend’s readings is our call to “wisdom” (seeing reality as it truly is). We live in a time of misplaced wisdom, tempted as we are to substitute a divisive “me versus you” battle for wise discourse. Read More

Black Catholic History Month is an annual observance every November in the United States that celebrates the history, culture, and contributions of Black and African American Catholics.

The Saintly Seven are seven African American Catholics who have been recognized by the Church for their heroic virtue and are on the path to sainthood. Each of them lived lives of deep faith, service, and commitment to God despite facing racism, discrimination, and social hardships. They are in different stages of the canonization process, and their causes continue to inspire Catholics today. These seven individuals—Venerable Pierre Toussaint, Venerable Mother Henriette Delille, Venerable Father Augustus Tolton, Venerable Mother Mary Lange, Servant of God Julia Greeley, Servant of God Sister Thea Bowman and Servant of God Friar Martin Maria de Porres Ward—represent the rich history of Black Catholicism in the United States and serve as models of perseverance, holiness, and love for Christ and His Church.
